Strengths
Ideal overall size and frame. Plus length. Natural athleticism and overall movement skills. Plays low and with leverage for a player his size. Very good upper body strength. Hands are big and strong to attach. Great footwork to turn and square up defenders at the snap. Outstanding strength on down blocks. Keeps a wide base as a run blocker. Will move his feet to drive when he attaches squarely. Impressive quickness and technique on reach blocks. Tremendous redirect quickness and technique. Exceptional mobility on interior pulls. Excellent acceleration at his size. Very good accuracy hitting smaller opponents on outside pulls. Smooth getting out in space in general. Shows wipeout power in the open field. Light feet with a quick first step in pass sets. Strong one-handed reach to slow speed rushers when extending. Good technique and poise to connect versus wide edge rushers. Tremendous feel for handling overload blitzes. Will take the immediate threat and then cover his assignment. Stuck with rushers much more effectively versus Texas Tech (2024). Switched to left tackle late versus Colorado and showed very well (2024). Mostly played right tackle but has started at left tackle and right guard. Experience with unbalanced lines. Team captain.
Weaknesses
Mirror ability is inconsistent considering his athleticism. Slow reacting to rushers at times. Sets are smooth and quick but pass protection worsens as the play progresses. Strength versus power rushes is a question mark. Will get knocked back when rushers get to his frame. Want to see him curve with the pocket instead of being too square towards the line of scrimmage. Showed vulnerability versus spin moves. Cuts too many plays short and will allow rushers free late. Can stay attached longer both in the running game and as a pass blocker. Needs to be better sustaining and finishing. Had some trouble connecting versus standout Utah linebacker Lander Barton when on the move (2024).

Conclusion
Overall, Savaiinaea is a big and athletic offensive lineman with position versatility and an impressive skillset at his size. Further development is needed with an emphasis on sustaining blocks both as a run blocker and in pass protection whether it’s at tackle or guard.
