Strengths
Great athleticism and movement skills. Quick connecting laterally off the ball versus a penetrating defender. Smooth turning his hips to create a seal. Excellent quickness on combination blocks. Quick and accurate working diagonally on combination blocks. Very quick to turn his hips working on the second level. Agile connecting with quicker defenders on the second level. Strong latching on and taking down linebackers on the second level. Agile sticking with opponents trying to get around him on the second level. Very good vision to react and check defenders coming downhill. Gets good lateral drive on double teams versus bigger opponents. Impressive ability to drive on double teams in general. More of a mauler working on double teams. Very smooth on outside pulls. Outstanding speed and acceleration. Accelerates to get out in front on quarterback draws. Will lay out defenders with a head of steam in the open field. Very quick feet getting depth in pass sets. Very strong hands connecting in pass protection. Calmly moves his feet and stays attached. Excellent foot quickness as a pass blocker. Exceptional balance while checking opponents as a pass blocker. Strong attaching and staying attached at his size in pass protection. Quick latching on when rushers try to cross his face. Tremendous core strength and balance to hold up versus powerful shoves in pass protection. Moves his feet to counter power rushes and guide opponents off their path. Impressive strength to hold his ground versus nose tackles. Quick feet working towards the edge on moving pockets.
Weaknesses
Below-average size. Would like to see him sustain blocks longer at times. Inconsistent latching on accurately. Average impact strength moving defenders off the spot. Lacks strength attempting pulldown moves. Inconsistent not allowing opponents to get to his side off the ball. Keeps his feet but can get tossed aside working downhill. Could be more fluid in traffic. Sometimes not as efficient/accurate connecting in space. Would like to see more efficiency and accuracy hitting his marks on screen passes. Could be more prepared to move his feet later in the rush. Can struggle to square up more athletic rushers on stunts. Athleticism doesn’t always show up from play to play.

Conclusion
Overall, Jones is an athletic, agile center who can smoothly work to the second level and generates drive on double teams. He has a case to be the top center in the class but needs to be more consistent at his size.
