Strengths

Great overall frame. Tremendous athleticism. Excellent overall quickness at his size. Patient mirroring releases in press coverage without jamming. Quick to match outside releases and pin opponents along the boundary. Extremely fluid in deep coverage drops. Stays in the hip of receivers defending vertical routes out of the press. Terrific speed. Easily stays on top of vertical routes in Cover-3 drops. Impressive fluidity at his size to turn his hips in deep coverage. Smooth in the backpedal from cushion coverage while keeping his eyes on the receiver. Fast going from backpedal to sprint. Shows good mirror ability when prepared for stop routes on the perimeter. Confident running while shaded underneath to recover if beaten on an inside release. Showed he can stick with quicker opponents out of the press and through the route. Tremendous ability to mirror stutter-and-go moves out of press coverage. Very good quickness to stick with double moves. Great recovery speed to stay close if he falls a step behind on in-breaking routes. Outstanding reach to poke the ball out at the catch point from trail position. Quick to recognize and pass off crossing routes in Cover-3 drops. Very quick breaking on short passes in underneath zone coverage. Shows quickness sticking with shifty opponents on slants. Excellent overall ball skills. Great ability to high point the ball down the field. Locates the ball in the air on downfield passes while staying on top of receivers. Often played the left side of the formation but saw snaps on both sides. Used in man coverage on tight ends in the slot. Didn’t allow dangerous Tennessee wide receiver Chris Brazzell II to beat him deep (2025). Fast and shows hustle chasing down ball-carriers from behind. Quick around blockers on the perimeter. Shows aggression engaging with wide receivers away from the action on run plays. Will increase the combativeness when opponents try to get physical. Works to stay outside on runs to the sideline. Will come in to wrap up on the edge. Gets inside by crossing the face of opponents trying to block him on the edge. Aggressive chasing down the ball as a blitzer. Tries ripping the ball out on tackles.

Weaknesses

Will allow some separation on comeback routes. Can get turned around reacting to stop routes. Lacks strength taking on lead blockers when pinched inside versus heavy run personnel. Will throw his body around to make tackles but often seems to take the worst of it and will be shaken up. Major durability concerns with two season-ending shoulder injuries and no more than seven games played in a season until 2025.

Conclusion

Overall, Moore is a long, fluid, and athletic cornerback with an ability to press opponents off the line and stay on top of them downfield. Health is the major concern, but Moore is a high-upside target on Day 2 with the hopes he can stay on the field.
