Strengths

Twitchy overall athlete and mover. Great speed. Tremendous acceleration. Very fast in the side shuffle. Quick going from the backpedal to side shuffle. Terrific burst breaking on throws in front of him from cushion coverage. Instinctive reacting to underneath throws in zone coverage. Very quick overall reaction time. Sticks to opponents in his zone without grabbing. Stays on top of vertical routes down the sideline. Great play recognition shown to pass off the go route and take the intermediate route coming underneath. Excellent awareness as the backside cornerback to position himself to make a play in deep Cover-3 drops. Aggressive getting on top of opponents after route breaks. Stays on the hip of receivers defending in-breaking routes and leaves limited room to throw. Outstanding length at his size and will try to reach around opponents at the catch point. Accurate deflecting throws away. Excellent footwork to stick with more complex comeback routes. Clearly confident and hates allowing catches. Quick matching the release of shiftier wideouts. Quick diagnosing and defending perimeter screens. Flipped between left and right cornerback. Experience playing man coverage in the slot. Fared extremely well versus Ohio State superstar Jeremiah Smith (2025). Fast blitzing from out wide and in the slot. Physical and confident coming up to tackle at his size. Will come up from close alignment and tackle on the second level. Seemed to try setting the tone taking on blocks early versus Ohio State’s standout receivers (2025).

Weaknesses

Thin overall build. Aggression could leave him susceptible to double moves. Can be a bit out of control covering pivot-type routes and needs to avoid grabbing. Lost his footing and slipped too often in coverage. Needs to keep outside leverage defending outside runs and tackling in space. Receivers can beat him with strength/physicality on release. Struggles getting off and around blocks from bigger opponents. Simply lacks strength tackling ball-carriers with a head of steam.

Conclusion

Overall, Muhammed is a feisty cornerback with outstanding twitch to match routes and great length at his size. He should be able to stay outside based on his awareness in zone coverage and aggression in man coverage.
