Strengths

Extremely thick lower half. Tremendous power in his legs. Relentless motor and play style. Extremely disruptive. Like a bull in a China shop. Great get off at the snap for his size. Excellent overall burst as a rusher. Terrific speed rush for a player with his power build. Highly impressive dip turning the corner. Able to dip and flatten to crash on the quarterback. Will capture the corner and force quarterbacks to step up in the pocket. Knows how to free himself to finish around the quarterback. Very good closing burst. Stout taking on chip blocks. Powerful getting to the chest of blockers. Drives into opponents with force turning speed to power. Quick and strong using side strikes as a rusher. Can use one-armed strikes to knock offensive tackles off balance. Powerful hands to combat the reach of offensive tackles. Nimble for a player his size. Great balance as a rusher. Effective swim move to get inside. Uses rip moves on the speed rush. Showed some deception using stutter moves as a rusher. Very strong wrapping up to finish. Can engulf players when he gets close to the ball. Experience with his hand in the dirt or as a stand-up rusher. Comfortable lining up with both hands in the ground. Experience rushing from wider alignments. Used on both sides of the formation. Will shade on the inside shoulder of offensive tackles. Very good quickness on inside stunts. Quick at the snap to cross the face of blockers crashing down versus the run. Controlled a physical crashing down as a backside defender. Works to keep outside contain while taking on blockers and pursuing runs to the perimeter. Will hustle to make plays towards the sideline. Great overall pursuit and hustle. High effort to get on any tackle he can. Showed hustle and athleticism on interception near the sideline versus Notre Dame (2025).

Weaknesses

Below-average length. Will get slowed towards the top of rushes when opponents strike/latch cleanly. Bull rush isn’t as effective when he has a shorter runway. Average agility and change-of-direction skills. Play recognition is just OK versus the run. Sometimes too chaotic and will turn his back to the ball-carrier. Can get pinned down when guessing inside on a run to the edge. Cited for careless driving in a 2024 accident that resulted in a death.

Conclusion
