Strengths

Quality overall size and length. Great raw strength. Very good quickness off the ball. Powerful latching on. Hands are extremely strong to stay attached and finish as a drive blocker. Does an excellent job moving his feet to drive. Outstanding grit and aggression to finish blocks. Quick to bury opponents he gets to the ground. Strong and aggressive extending to engage on the edge. Good ability to reposition his hands and engage if he doesn’t connect cleanly off the ball. Fights to regain leverage if pushed back some as a run blocker. Impressive wipeout power on down blocks. Very effective driving on double teams. Tremendous strength to level a linebacker at the second level on combination blocks. Very good accuracy on the second level. Very aware to get off a block and take out another nearby opponent. Squares up opponents when they crash down the line of scrimmage. Smooth engaging and turning his hips to create a seal on the backside of the play. Smooth in general sliding into position as a run blocker. Good acceleration and accuracy as an outside puller. Takes out safeties around the line of scrimmage. Gets in to push the pile. Patient and aware in pass protection. Excellent technique using his hands in pass protection. Great core strength in pass protection. Strong and keeps his balance when rushers extend to his chest. Does a nice job speeding up his feet when prepared to match rushers. Good technique and poise moving out to reach rushers. Poised sliding to get in position for blitzers coming late from the edge. Shows he can close off less explosive inside moves by rushers. Closes off inside spin moves. Handles interior defenders who rush on the edge. Three-year starter at right tackle.

Weaknesses

Average overall agility trying to connect as a run blocker. Pushed back off the ball when opponents get to his frame. Stronger edge defenders can throw him off more easily. Can get a bit high off the ball and trying to drive. Has trouble driving when his base gets too narrow. Inconsistent quickness on reach blocks. Can be better identifying a downhill threat when working to the second level. Will lose his coordination/footing at times. Needs to keep his feet when connecting on the second level. Appears to have some stiffness trying to torpedo low off the ball in short-yardage situations. Pass sets can be too shallow and lead to rushers getting around him. Doesn’t stay engaged as well in pass protection. Can be more prepared to slide his feet as a pass blocker. Feet can be too choppy as a pass blocker. Slower reacting to quicker inside moves. Hands need to get lower to stop dip moves. Had some struggles versus the talented defensive front for Oregon (2025).

Conclusion

Overall, Dunker is a gritty offensive lineman with great raw strength and very powerful hands to attach and drive. Issues with foot agility, inconsistency in pass protection, and struggles versus better opponents aren’t enough to automatically move him to guard.
