Strengths
Tremendous agility and athleticism. Extremely smooth as a pass blocker. Quick into pass sets. Excellent technique and effectiveness as a pass blocker versus simple speed rushes. Very light feet to mirror in pass protection. Shows an ability to stop rushers when they get to his side and try to bend around the corner. Very strong hands to latch on at the top of the rush and lock opponents up. Can guide rushers out when they use dip moves. Able to anchor late. Will calmly stay on rushers with his hands and active feet when they take a wider path. Athletic and fluid versus wider rushes. Tremendous ability to mirror inside rushes. Very quick dealing with stunts. Will handle an inside threat before quickly sliding out to handle an edge rusher. Very square and keeps a balanced base while driving as a run blocker. Strong hands to stay attached with excellent technique driving. Shows strength to drive and finish moving opponents out on the edge. Impressive power on down blocks. Has impact strength making blocks from the side. Very good strength and quickness taking out defenders trying to cross his face inside off the ball. Very smooth and quick making combination blocks on outside-zone runs. Smooth turning his hips to create a seal on outside runs. Can wipe out a defender on a double team and accurately get another on the second level. Accurate sticking with opponents and getting a piece of them on the second level. Great acceleration and smoothness as a puller. Very light feet operating in space. Outstanding athleticism and mobility getting out on screen passes. Started at left tackle as a freshman and started at right tackle in his final two seasons. Experience on the left side for unbalanced lines. Has the skillset to play inside and expressed a willingness to play any position on the offensive line. Targeted on a trick play screen pass and looked natural with the ball in his hands.
Weaknesses
Below-average length at offensive tackle. Opponents can get around him due to a lack of length. Sometimes slower reaction time to move his feet early versus speed rushes. Can be a bit segmented moving his feet to get to quicker speed rushes. Would like to see him prevent rushers from getting to his side. Can lose balance reacting to inside moves when speeding up his feet. Showed vulnerability versus quicker inside spin moves. Needs to avoid illegally going downfield on pass plays and had a long touchdown wiped out early versus Texas Tech (2025). Gets pushed back and loses leverage when defenders get to his frame off the ball. Has some general strength/balance issues. Can struggle to move defenders and generate drive at the point of attack. Will sometimes lower his eyes into contact and miss. Could be better getting his head across on reach blocks as the backside blocker. Can connect with more force in the hole as a puller.
