Strengths
Very strong with a compact build. Great acceleration. Terrific hands. Extremely reliable and catches everything with his hands. Phenomenal catch focus and strong hands with defenders on him. Will extend for throws off his frame with defenders nearby. Excellent feel to sit between zone coverage underneath. High understanding of spacing to know when he’s open underneath. Quick to turn and present a target. Able to uncover on quick outs. Tremendous on contested catches down the field at his size. Extremely tough. Comfortable leaving his feet to make possession grabs with a defender on his back. Adjusts for back-shoulder throws down the field. Will use a subtle push to separate late. Shows courage catching passes between coverage down the seam. Will go up for high-point catches with a safety bearing down. Consistently gets vertical from the slot. Very effective on slot fades. Will run right through the middle of the defense and get deep from the slot. Exceptional ability to catch over the shoulder. Can get open on fade routes lined up outside the numbers. Outstanding feet to throttle down on comeback routes. Great ability to stop and get his feet down along the sideline. Works to uncover on quarterback scrambles. Excellent vision in the open field. Instantly gets into run-after-catch mode. Elusive to shake defenders. Great balance with the ball in his hands. Strong breaking tackles after the catch. Will lower his shoulder to reach the line to gain. Effective spin move to make the first defender miss. Very good juke move in the open field. Follows his blockers on screen passes. Used on various screen passes from the slot and on the outside. Saw a bunch of bubble screens in the RPO game. Used on pop passes and jet sweeps. Good overall technique and effort as a blocker. Works to attach and move his feet. Experience as a punt returner. Impressive arm talent for trick plays shown on touchdown pass versus Oregon (2025).
Weaknesses
Ran a lot of simple routes and similar concepts. Average speed and explosiveness. Might have average agility for the next level considering his play style and projected role. More complex routes don’t seem too difficult to cover. Nearly had a defender jump a route for a pick-six versus Purdue (2025). Didn’t finish some downfield routes if he felt he was covered. Had some missed blocks in space. Missed a block on a screen pass deep in scoring territory versus Purdue (2025).

Conclusion
Overall, Lemon is an extremely reliable pass-catcher with high-end catch focus, tremendous hands, and the desired toughness for the position. He projects best as a high-volume slot receiver who showed he can also make plays down the field in contested coverage.
