Big Yes or No Questions for the 2025 NFL Offseason

126 million people tuned in to Super Bowl LIX, watching the Eagles demolish the Chiefs. Despite some controversy with officiating and talk of a Super Bowl boycott, interest in the NFL remains as high as ever. This interest continues to hit the predictions market, which includes Kalshi being legal sports trading in all 50 states. Check out a Kalshi review for more information, but essentially it allows you to trade on “yes” or “no” predictions. These are among some of the biggest yes or no questions heading into the 2025 NFL offseason.

Will the Eagles repeat as Super Bowl champions?

This is Eagles versus the field, and we know how difficult it is to get to a Super Bowl in the first place let alone win back-to-back titles. However, after a dominant performance over a Chiefs squad going for a three-peat, many are naturally wondering if Philly can put themselves in the same spot this time next year. Jalen Hurts is a championship quarterback, the roster is stacked, and the NFC doesn’t look nearly as imposing to get through as the AFC.

Will the Lions play in the 2025 NFL season opener?

The Lions were the No. 1 seed in the NFC this season, but injuries derailed their postseason run. They’re on the Eagles’ 2025 schedule, and Philadelphia of course opens the season as the defending Super Bowl champions. An NFC Championship rematch with the Commanders would also be intriguing, but Eagles versus Lions feels to many like a matchup fans wanted to watch in the NFC title game—and instead might see it when the NFL resumes in the fall.

Will a QB go with the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft?

We have an enigma atop the draft, as there are already rumors of the Titans being open to trading the No. 1 pick this spring, and Tennessee has also come out and said they won’t pass on a “generational” player at the top. So, big questions loom on a couple of fronts. Do the Titans believe someone like Travis Hunter or Abdul Carter is a generational prospect they feel great about taking No. 1? Do they like a quarterback? If there is a trade (the Giants at No. 3 come to mind), it’s almost certainly a “yes” that a quarterback does go with the first pick.

Will Sam Darnold re-sign with the Vikings?

Sam Darnold to the Raiders has generated a lot of early smoke, but you never know if reports and rumors are agent-driven or legitimate. The Vikings have said publicly that brining Darnold back is a possibility after he helped the team to 14 wins in 2024—with all-world wide receiver Justin Jefferson sounding like he’d be happy if his quarterback returns. 2024 first-round pick J.J. McCarthy is waiting in the wings, but he’s coming off a serious knee injury which adds more uncertainty. Then there’s also Daniel Jones as an alternative veteran option. Overall, Darnold staying in Minnesota feels around 50/50 right now.

Will the Bills make a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft?

A trade back out of the first round to acquire more draft picks is a possibility, but this one is basically another way of asking if the Bills will make a trade for a difference-making pass rusher like Myles Garrett, Maxx Crosby, Trey Hendrickson, or even Micah Parsons. Considering the history (Buffalo’s willingness to trade for Stefon Diggs in 2020) and the need for more consistent pressure from the defensive front in big games, there’s probably a good chance the Bills deal their first-round pick for a star defender in the coming weeks.
