Strengths
Big overall frame. Impressive natural athleticism. Soft hands and catches the ball cleanly away from his body. Great hips and feet to sink in and out of breaks. Knows how to get on top of cornerbacks to get vertical or set up an in-breaking cut. Very good build-up speed. Thrives on short posts. Easily hauls in passes thrown on his back hip/side. Tough over the middle and through traffic. Tremendous strength. Shields off cornerbacks on slant routes. Quick to sit down on hitches and curls. Excellent body control to adjust and spin for downfield grabs. Uses a subtle push to create late separation and come down with back-shoulder balls. Experience on both sides of the formation. Has seen snaps in the slot. Very elusive for a bigger receiver. Will break tackles after the catch. Ideal vision and pacing on screen passes. Top-notch blocker that gives great effort. Will lay out opponents when given the opportunity. Gets fired up for making a key block (went crazy after blocking 40 yards downfield to help spring a touchdown run versus Middle Tennessee in 2021). Has played on punt coverage.
Weaknesses
Can have trouble separating from press coverage beyond five yards. Can struggle getting clean releases off versus aggressive jams. Hands are not as solid on off-target throws with defenders close. Can be better finding holes in coverage and getting open on broken plays.

Conclusion
Overall, DuBose is a possession receiver with impressive strength, body control, and route running. His ability to win on in-breaking routes and impact as a top-level blocker should give him a strong case to be selected on Day 2.
