Strengths

Powerful build with great overall size. Tremendous overall strength. Aggressive and accurate getting his hands on opponents. Hands are extremely strong. Instantly attaches to create leverage. Keeps a wide base as a run blocker and moves his feet. Connects with violence. Excellent impact power with strength upon extension. Drives bigger defenders with hand strength to stay attached. Wrestles defenders off the spot to create a hole. Very strong to turn defenders at the point of attack. Looks to torque opponents to the ground. Will bury opponents when he can. Quick feet for phone-booth type movements. Exceptional balance and only seems to be on the ground when he’s taking someone down. Fluid getting to the second level and turning to make a block. Strong connecting on pulls to seal the opposite edge. Only needs to catch a piece of opponents to get the job done. Impressive acceleration and speed when he gets on his path. Blocks through the whistle and seeks opponents to hit even when away from the action. Outstanding balance and patience as a pass blocker. Terrific strength in pass protection and doesn’t get moved back. Knows how to position himself to take on rushers by subtly moving his feet. Extends and stays light on his feet after engaging accurately. Great vision in pass protection and will peak while blocking to make sure a gap is covered. Tremendous overall awareness in pass protection. Doesn’t overextend as a pass blocker. Team captain and raved about for high character.

Weaknesses

Further side-to-side movements can be lumbering. Not as consistently accurate when blocks require more movement to reach the defender. Has some early stiffness on pulls and moving pockets. Trouble getting his head across on some reach blocks. Seemed to be too high at times on short-yardage situations. Can have a difficult time mirroring looping quickness.

Conclusion

Overall, Booker is a powerful guard that consistently moves opponents in the running game and stones them in pass protection. Considering the high marks for his character in addition to the ability, Booker should be a Round 1 selection and one of the top offensive linemen drafted.
