Moves his feet extremely well to make a tackle on the second level as runners get through the line of scrimmage. Quick to shed offensive linemen before they latch on. Agile with active hands. Weaknesses

Below-average overall size. Gets moved and driven back when opponents get to his frame. Can be knocked around trying to take on a lead blocker inside. Sometimes completely absorbed by double teams that reach him. Caught up or a step delayed pursuing outside runs. Reaction time can be a tick delayed pursuing ball-carriers on sweeps or covering opponents in the flat. Could be more physical into blockers as a blitzer versus the pass.

Overall, Mondon is a fast, athletic linebacker with a nose for the football and tremendous ability in coverage. His best fit would be in a two-gapping scheme that keeps him clean versus the run in addition to utilizing his skillset to defend tight ends.
