Strengths

Very athletic build with good length. Great overall movement skills with impressive flexibility in his lower half. Very light feet. Excellent acceleration. Outstanding technique in pass sets. Keeps a balanced base in pass protection. Plays with tremendous overall posture. Very good vision and awareness. Feet are extremely quiet. Terrific footwork and quickness to mirror rushers. Calm hands to engage rushers with strength to stay attached. Doesn’t overextend to connect as a pass blocker. Efficient and poised when he decides to meet delayed rushers. Uses speed and athleticism to match speed rushes. Has shown a late anchor when moved back in pass protection. Flashes plenty of connection power and can push defenders back on contact. Consistent overall hand placement. Very efficient footwork as a run blocker. Does a nice job on down blocks. Has shown aggression holding and finishing blocks. Works to drive on double teams. Fluid getting around to seal defenders on runs to the edge. Quality extension strength to move defenders slightly off the spot on outside runs. Accurate hitting opponents working towards the sideline. Keeps his feet underneath him to drive on runs to the perimeter. Smooth on cross-formation and exterior pulls. Uses a quick and powerful side strike to hit a defender before getting out in space. Still does enough to get the job done if he doesn’t hit an opponent squarely on the move. Hustles to the action after springing a run. Saw snaps at right tackle. Experience with unbalanced lines. Played extremely well in both matchups versus Ohio State (2024). Caught a touchdown from Bo Nix as a true freshman.

Weaknesses

Still developing power as a run blocker. Would like to see more accuracy connecting on the second level considering his athleticism. Has some vulnerability with defenders crossing his face.

Conclusion

Overall, Conerly is a very athletic offensive tackle with natural mirror skills, impressive flexibility, and refined technique. He projects best in a zone-blocking scheme and would be a perfect fit for a team like the Dolphins as a top-15 pick.
