Strengths
Extremely twitchy athlete. Muscular and powerful build. Possesses elite downfield accuracy outside the numbers. Very willing to uncork the deep ball. Tremendous vision and feel for coverage when attacking vertically. Outstanding arm strength. Quick release. Throws a very tight spiral. Able to rifle a throw when necessary. Very accurate on corner routes and throws towards the sideline. Able to make throws from the far hash without getting his legs into it. Will hit targets in stride on slot fades. Throws with touch to lead pass-catchers. Great ball placement down the seam to allow for high-point grabs with defenders having their back turned. Stands in the pocket to survey the defense and deliver passes. Scans the field to work through progressions. Accurate with plenty of zip on deep curls. Plus accuracy on intermediate throws over the middle. Very good touch and timing on angle routes. Gets the ball out quickly and accurately on RPOs and screens. Poised with impressive field vision rolling out. Will use a pump fake and eye manipulation on the move. Accurate with nice touch rolling out to his right. Has some experience with under center play-action passes. Flashes high-end playmaking instincts and creativity (will find a pass-catcher even after turning into a runner). Can deliver the ball accurately from different platforms. Does a good job feeling and avoiding pressure. Will throw with defenders in his face. Deadly runner with elite breakaway speed. Used on various designed runs and zone reads. Great vision as a ball-carrier. Knows how to play off lead blockers. Very strong and explosive. Exceptional balance to get past low tackle attempts. Terrific juke move that combines elusiveness and strength when needed. Has an evasive spin move. Will run through arm tackles. Routinely captured the edge as a runner and destroyed angles in space. Completely shredded LSU with 185 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns (2024) after having 155 rushing yards and four rushing scores the previous year.
Weaknesses
Footwork is inconsistent and leads to inaccurate throws. Will fail to recognize underneath defenders at times. Could throw with earlier anticipation as targets come out of their breaks. End zone fades are too flat. Sometimes will be eager to bounce a run on the second level rather than just getting up the field. Wasn’t helped by teammates and showed well early on but had the wheels fall off facing a chaotic Oklahoma defense (2024). Didn’t pull the trigger on a couple of open seam passes versus Auburn (2024). Has some issues with fumbles.

Conclusion
Overall, Milroe is an electrifying, game-breaking quarterback that can beat opponents with his arm and destroy them as a runner. If a team invests in him similar to Lamar Jackson with an offense built around his strengths, Milroe can be a superstar.
