Strengths

Ideal overall size and frame. Outstanding build-up speed. Hands are big and strong. Exceptional overall strength. Extremely strong coming away with the ball when contested at the catch point. Terrific catch focus with defenders on his back. Tremendous high-point ability in contested coverage. Will position himself and box out defenders down the field. Impressive stair step release. Very good ability to stack cornerbacks vertically. Able to cross step and create some separation on downfield routes. Tracks the ball well down the sideline. Runs hard tracking the ball in the air in general. Great body control with the ball in the air on fade passes. Gets his feet down near the sideline. Shows deception and sinks his hips on stutter-and-go double moves. Effective slant-and-go move. Very quick inside release on slants. Good smoothness and burst on quick slants. Good hands catching slants on his back hip. Shows suddenness on in-breaking cuts. Good burst to get a step on crossing routes. Fluid on hitches and stop routes. Quick feet on comeback routes. Will use physicality to subtly separate down the field working back to the quarterback. Works back to the quarterback with the ball in the air. Crisp on corner routes. Good feel to settle between the corner and safety on vertical routes versus Cover-2 looks. Intelligent to know when a route is covered and will actively look to get open. Mostly played on the outside but has seen snaps in the slot. Strong with the ball in his hands. Elite overall blocker. Embraces the physicality of blocking. Connects with accuracy and aggression. Great impact strength and will immediately drive. Does a remarkable job sustaining blocks. Excellent reaction time and feet to stick with opponents as a blocker. Works to position himself between the defender and the ball. Will vary his approach as a blocker to keep opponents guessing. Very effective on pin down blocks on edge defenders from split alignments. Instantly turns into a blocker in the open field after a catch is made. Gives high effort to block on the backside of the play. Blocks extremely hard even with the game out of hand. Had three long touchdowns versus Colorado including two on Travis Hunter (2023). Had a highlight contested catch over Travis Hunter (Colorado 2023). Was continuously roasting Colorado on quick slants (2023).

Weaknesses

Limited separation burst when he reaches cornerbacks in cushion coverage. Questions about pure separation ability at the intermediate level. Inconsistent separating in general. Has some drops where he doesn’t catch the ball cleanly as it hits his hands. Too many drops when the ball gets on him quickly and/or is just off target. Had a couple of drops underneath versus SMU (2024).

Conclusion

Overall, Ayomanor is a tone-setting wide receiver who can play big down the field, wins underneath, and blocks at an extremely high level. Even just as a blocker, he will help establish an identity and provide significant value for an NFL offense.
