Strengths

Ideal size and frame. Long strider with build-up speed to get vertical. Terrific stop-and-go stutter to get downfield. Will use an effective inside plant to sell double moves. Impressive footwork to break down and separate on deeper stop routes. Deceptive working off vertical stems to separate on out-breaking routes. Outstanding in-breaking sell to outside route double move. Tracks the ball well over the shoulder. Will adjust for deeper throws when not hit in stride. Great ability to leap and reach for high-point catches. Able to make acrobatic grabs in contested coverage. Effective leaving his feet to extend for throws while going to the ground. Secures catches when the ball gets to his body. Very good feet and fluidity turning on hitches. Consistently finishes routes through the ball on hitches. Aggressive to catch the ball with his hands on underneath routes working back to the quarterback. Gliding pace on in-breaking routes. Confident catching on slant routes. Very good hands reaching out for throws in front of him. Fluid on releases from the slot. Mostly played outside the numbers on the right side but has experience lining up out wide to the left and in the slot. Often used on quick screens to the perimeter on RPOs. Decisive getting up the field after the catch on hitch routes. Excellent strength and balance with the ball in his hands. Will fall forward while being tackled. Strong stiff arm. Has elusiveness for a bigger receiver and will work inside to pick up yardage rather than going out of bounds. Has size and strong hands to block effectively and showed glimpses. Does a quality job on pin down blocks from closer alignment on outside runs.

Weaknesses

Doesn’t finish enough routes when not the primary read. Had some focus drops that included a deep ball for a would-be touchdown to start the game versus LSU (2024). Will be slower working through traffic/contact as a route runner. Could be better trying to uncover and working with the quarterback on broken plays. Will often stand or walk around when away from the action. Not asked to do much as a blocker.

Conclusion

Overall, Harris is a prototype X receiver with big-play potential and flashes to be encouraged about as a route runner in an NFL offense. He probably won’t be able to get deep as often versus NFL coverage, but Harris should be able to offer more at the intermediate level based on some of the ability shown.
