Strengths

Excellent agility. Tremendous quickness to stick with shiftier routes underneath. Has shown he can blanket underneath routes from the slot. Great feet and quickness in general. Bouncy and light movement skills. Very quick reaction time and play recognition. Exceptional ability to burst when transitioning out of the side shuffle. Quick to transition out of press coverage to the side shuffle. Very quick feet to pattern match on stop routes. Outstanding burst to defend out-breaking routes. Terrific awareness to read the quarterback and jump routes on inside throws from perimeter zone coverage. Excellent speed to stick with twitchy vertical threats down the field. Fluid opening up further down the field. Fast following drag routes across the field. Makes up ground when trailing on crossing routes. Tries to punch the ball out at the catch point. Clearly very competitive. Looks to be physical with bigger opponents. Aligned at both left and right cornerback. Quick blitzing from the outside cornerback spot. Often used as a blitzer aligned off the edge. Great pursuit to chase ball-carriers. Eager to support the run as an outside cornerback. Uses quickness to dart past blockers in space. Doesn’t shy away from contact and will float inside of blocks to fit the run. Shows physicality and aggression taking on blockers. Impressive strength shedding blocks from wide receivers. Tough trying to stand in versus ball-carriers coming at him. Shows some stopping power with help as a tackler. Tries ripping the ball out on tackles. Will deliver a big hit in space when given the chance. Made a wrap-up tackle at the goal line versus Louisville (2025). Brother of Falcons cornerback A.J. Terrell Jr.

Weaknesses

Below-average size on the perimeter. Would like to see him pinch down closer versus in-breaking routes with no other responsibility on his side of the field in Cover-3 drops. Will allow separation on in-breaking routes in general. Can allow inside releases and lose positioning versus bigger targets. Boxed out on a jump ball for a touchdown on a fade versus LSU (2025). Size and strength are issues as a wrap-up tackler. Has some brush by tackle attempts trying to punch at the ball.

Conclusion

Overall, Terrell is a very quick cornerback who can match underneath routes and stick with faster receivers down the field. He could thrive playing more man coverage and seeing increased slot usage at the next level.
