Strengths

Extremely instinctive. High-end intelligence and play recognition. Terrific overall reaction time and first-step quickness. Great vision to see past blockers and position himself to tackle. Outstanding feel to fit versus the run. Knows how to play team run defense. Keeps leverage and contain. Patient but decisive. Excellent wrap-up tackler. Tremendous stopping power as a tackler. Rolls his hips into contact. Quick to shed and make a tackle working downhill. Very reliable when tackling ball-carriers head on. Physical taking on blockers. Takes on bigger offensive linemen in the hole. Active hands and high effort to get off and through blockers. Will dip under and around blocks. Very effective strafing into position for tackles. Average overall size. A bit less effective in defending outside runs. Has slight stiffness opening up fully into a sprint in pursuit towards the sideline. Can get absorbed by bigger blockers. Has more trouble getting off blocks when stationary and/or opponents latch on.
