Strengths
Tall with an ideal frame and excellent length. Very light on his feet at his size. Extremely strong hands to latch onto rushers. Sudden and strong to lock up opponents during the rush. Uses his hands and length when bigger rushers try to win with physicality. Slides his feet very nicely to mirror. Great footwork to slide and anchor down. Quick first step in pass sets. Flattens rushers as they try to turn the corner. Terrific poise in pass protection. Calmly handles pressure coming from his inside shoulder. Impressive quickness handling an inside move before sliding to get the interior rush versus ET stunts. Has no problems handling wider rushers. Good fluidity moving his feet to set his angle at the snap. Extremely smooth and accurate working to the second level on combination blocks. Turns defenders on the second level to create a seal and help spring runs. Very smooth hitting his marks on interior pulls and accurate connecting with linebackers. Outstanding accuracy in general to engage on the second level. Very strong impact as a run blocker. Has shown impressive power to move interior defenders off the ball. Strong and gritty blocking on the edge. Rare mobility and accuracy to connect and lead the way in space at his size. Athletic on outside pulls. Very comfortable in space. Great acceleration. Fast for his size. Tremendous accuracy and control working outside to lead the way in space. Patient to not overextend as a blocker in the open field. Will pancake smaller defenders in the open field. Experience on the right side for unbalanced lines. Shows fire and excitement when making a key block. Hustles to follow the ball-carrier on long runs. Quick to get in on scrums and help push the pile.
Weaknesses
Gets too bent at the waist and will lean forward at times in pass protection. Feet aren’t as calm when he gets too forward leaning. Hands are wide at times before engaging as a pass blocker. Has some balance issues where he gets knocked to the ground if he doesn’t connect cleanly as a run blocker. Can be inconsistent attaching and have defenders shed his block. A bit slower on combination blocks when facing more aggressive linebackers.

Conclusion
Overall, Freeling is a very athletic offensive tackle with excellent feet and strength both in pass protection and as a run blocker. He should be a great fit in any offensive scheme based on his comfort making a variety of blocks in the running game.
