Strengths
Ideal frame. Great overall athleticism. Saw plenty of snaps in the slot. Impressive fluidity running downfield routes. Tremendous feet with deception breaking on more complex routes down the field. Able to cross up opponents on vertical route cuts. Moves very well with burst cutting on corner routes. Will sell an over route before making a fluid break on a more complex corner route. Will use a subtle one-handed push breaking on corner routes. Very strong hands down the field. Excellent catch focus and strong hands while being contacted on high-point grabs. Fast running down the seam. Good feel for getting his head around working the seam. Quick eyes to locate the ball when it gets on him quickly. Great body control to make a catch between defenders. Able to secure throws on his back hip. Extremely strong hands shown reaching back for throws behind him while absorbing contact. Smooth with some shake sinking his hips on in-breaking routes. Separates with burst at the intermediate level. Big target in the middle of the field. Throttles down between zone coverage on over routes. Will float back towards the quarterback and away from coverage on over routes. Effective turning and going down for low passes further down the field. Very quick at his size and a big target on stop routes underneath. Very impressive ability to run pivot routes at his size. Shows fluidity to separate on shorter out routes. Very fluid in general sinking on underneath routes. Able to make diving grabs working across the field towards the sideline. Knows how to settle between open holes in scoring territory. Fast out of the backfield on designed throws into the flat. Outstanding speed and burst with the ball in his hands. Has shown physicality lowering his shoulder. Able to run through arm tackles. Excellent technique shown as a run blocker. Keeps a wide base with strong hands on engagement. Gives effort with good strength blocking on the edge. Very good accuracy connecting as a puller. Very effective connecting with smaller opponents in space on outside runs. Will drive out smaller blockers and stay attached while moving his feet. Does a quality job in pass protection and will slide his feet. Shows strength taking on edge defenders.
Weaknesses
Could be stronger fighting through early contact as a route runner. Struggles to get off press jams. Appears to coast on some routes. Hands can be inconsistent. Seems to have some double catches when contacted. Would like to see him try to keep his feet at times when bringing in passes instead of going to the ground. Can show more elusiveness with the ball in his hands. Inconsistent physicality as a blocker. Lowers his eyes and misses blocks working up to the second level. Can get knocked down trying to take on blitzers in pass protection.

Conclusion
Overall, Gyllenborg is an athletic, fluid tight end who can stretch the field and get open at the short and intermediate levels. He needs to add strength, but Gyllenborg is an excellent developmental target and could reach his ceiling quickly in the right situation.
