Video Breakdown of Jalen Milroe at Alabama

Wolf Sports has been higher than anyone in the pre-draft process on various franchise quarterbacks—most notably Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Jalen Hurts, Brock Purdy, and Bo Nix. For the 2025 draft class, we identified Jalen Milroe as a quarterback with superstar potential based on what he showed at Alabama.

No one else saw the same kind of ability as a passer, but that was largely true for all five of Allen, Jackson, Hurts, Purdy, and Nix as well. This week’s YouTube video from Wolf Sports breaks down what we saw from Milroe in college to believe in as a top-five prospect.

Milroe vs. Georgia

Our film breakdown includes four notable games from Milroe last year—starting with a heavyweight clash versus Georgia in late September. The tape showed his combination of accuracy (completed 81.8% of his passes), dual-threat ability (491 total yards and four total touchdowns), and clutch factor (game-winning touchdown after falling behind with a little over two minutes remaining).

Milroe vs. LSU

The LSU game in 2024 was mostly about the unmatched rushing ability and athleticism, as Milroe rushed for 185 yards and four touchdowns—which came after ripping the Tigers for 155 yards and four scores the previous year. However, it also showed Milroe can play underneath with accuracy and timing.

Milroe vs. Wisconsin

Milroe dropped a couple of complete dimes down the field against Wisconsin, and his anticipation as a passer—both in terms of vision and touch—was on full display. The explosive passer doesn’t get enough credit for throwing a very catchable ball down the field.

Milroe vs. Oklahoma

This was the game most critics pointed to as reason to not believe in Milroe at the next level, but he was very sharp with mistake-free football for the entire first half versus an extremely aggressive defense. Things snowballed in the second half, but context is key to find positives (and understand the negatives) from the tape.

Our Next Hit?

We love the landing spot for Milroe with the Seahawks, and he’s drawn rave reviews for his work ethic thus far in Seattle. If he shows enough on the practice field and in potential game action this season, Milroe can be the QB1 in 2026 and perhaps the latest quarterback hit by Wolf Sports.
