YouTube Video: Bills Look Far From a Super Bowl Team Right Now

As they emerge from the bye week, the Buffalo Bills are coming off two consecutive losses. At 4-2, they face the Panthers before a huge AFC matchup with the Chiefs. But based off the losses to the Patriots and Falcons, Buffalo has a long way to go to be legitimate Super Bowl contenders. The latest YouTube video from Wolf Sports dives into the film.

Dalton Kincaid’s impact

It should first be noted that the Bills didn’t have star tight end Dalton Kincaid in their loss to the Falcons, as he was out due to an oblique injury. The Monday Night Football crew revealed that Bill offensive coordinator Joe Brady has two playcall sheets—one with Kincaid, and one without; this exemplifies the importance of the third-year weapon. However, Kincaid’s absence might show that Josh Allen and the Bills need more help on offense.

Not many easy plays

In the loss to the Falcons, the degree of difficulty for Allen and the offense was far too high. There weren’t many easy throws, and the Bills arguably didn’t run the ball enough given the success James Cook was having on the ground—particularly without Kincaid (and with wide receiver Joshua Palmer leaving the game with an ankle injury). The Falcons defense played outstanding and deserves a lot of credit, but Buffalo also struggled the previous week versus the Patriots.

Offensive line struggles

Allen and the offensive line were seemingly confused often by the Atlanta defense on multiple occasions in the Monday night loss. Through six games, the reigning league MVP has already been sacked 12 times—compared to being sacked just 14 times all of last season.

The Buffalo defense

On top of that—and the biggest issues with the Bills right now—the defense simply has not been playing well so far in 2025. There have been missing pieces in the lineup, so perhaps they can turn things around with a fully healthy group, but Buffalo’s defensive struggles put far too much pressure on the offense. Falcons running back Bijan Robinson ripped the Bills defense for a career-high in yardage in Week 6.

Do the Bills have enough?

The question is if the Bills can get out of this recent funk—not only finding a groove offensively (perhaps while getting a boost via a trade for someone like Saints wide receiver Rashid Shaheed), but the defense playing at a much higher level. As currently constructed, the Bills might have to score 30+ points every game in the postseason, which is obviously not ideal.
