YouTube Video: Everyone Was Wrong About Bo Nix

The 2025 season is officially over for the Denver Broncos due in large part to quarterback Bo Nix’s stunning ankle injury after an outstanding Divisional Round win over the Bills. But while the Broncos’ season is over, it didn’t stop the truth: the so-called experts were more than wrong about Nix’s ability as an NFL quarterback. The latest YouTube video from Wolf Sports is a compliation of the totally unfair—and sometimes cruel—takes about Nix through his first two seasons in the league.

Everyone is wrong sometimes, us included. It’s when “takes” are totally unfair to a young man trying to start his pro football career on the right foot—and also completely detached from reality given the obvious mis-fire on scouting the player—that we feel it’s only right to play the tape back.

The Draft Night Meltdown

It started on draft night and the days following the 2024 NFL Draft. The Broncos took Nix at No. 12 overall as the sixth quarterback off the board, with many flat-out laughing at the selection and much worse. The “experts” handed out D and F grades so confidently. The pick was called “arrogant.” The lazy mainstream narrative was that the Oregon product is at best some low-skilled backup quarterback.

Continued Hate

Things didn’t stop from there. Even when Nix had a tremendous rookie campaign where he was top-three in both passing touchdowns and total touchdowns for a rookie—with, it’s fair to say, not some elite supporting cast—the haters persisted. There was zero self-reflection after watching someone they said couldn’t play light it up—from playmaking ability to laser throws to clutch play in Year 1.

A Year 2 Star

During the offseason after that rookie year, the clueless doubters refused to get off their priors—despite NFL players talking up Nix and even voting him as a top 100 player in the league. Nix very clearly elevated the group around him in Denver, capping his season with an exceptional performance in the postseason win versus the Bills—unfortunately ended by the ankle injury. But Nix orchestrated comebacks, set records, and stepped up in the biggest moments, making the future look bright for the Broncos.

History Repeating

As we’ve said many times, we watched the same exact story play out with Josh Allen. People laughed at and pummeled the Bills for picking Allen in the top 10 of the 2018 NFL Draft. They kept baselessly hating when it was clear Allen was going to be a star from his rookie season. And they are doing the same exact thing to Nix now.

Eventually, (almost) everyone will come around as they did for Allen. Nix is clearly likable guy in addition to being a highly skilled quarterback, and it’s time for the hate to stop.
