The 2025 NFL MVP race is wide open. The mainstream conversation is dominated by the quarterbacks. But if you turn on the film, there is a name that’s going totally under the radar. It’s All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams, who has fit like a glove with the Rams—and has helped the team go to the next level this season. Our latest YouTube video dives into the film and Adams’ immense impact on one of the NFL’s top teams.
Adams has been a massive part of Los Angeles’ major improvement in finishing drives with touchdowns. His 14 touchdown receptions lead the NFL, and his quarterback—MVP betting favorite Matthew Stafford—has even missed him on more scores, including a couple in their most recent victory over the Cardinals.
The touchdown machine was a perfect fit for Sean McVay’s offense, and he’s been nearly automatic for touchdowns. If Adams doesn’t score near the end zone, there’s a decent chance it was because he was double teamed. This is no doubt extremely valuable and opens things up for everyone. Adams even has a few touchdowns against double coverage, utilizing his legendary release to beat defenders.
No. 17 isn’t going to lead the NFL in yards this season, but he’s delivering more than enough value to be a serious 2025 NFL MVP candidate in a wide-open race with four games to go in the regular season. Adams has a chance to push for 20 touchdowns for a Rams team looking to finish with the best record in the NFC.
