Washington signed Adam Humphries.
It felt like there was a good chance that this would happen after Humphries went on a visit to Washington. Humphries will have a chance to win the starting slot role for the Football Team this summer, and Washington may be able to go with a starting receiving trio of Terry McLaurin, Curtis Samuel, and Humphries with Ryan Fitzpatrick under center, though the team does have more size they can utilize on the outside, including second-year receiver Antonio Gandy-Golden.
The Titans are releasing Adam Humphries, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
The veteran had a scary concussion in 2020 that forced him to miss much of the season, and with Corey Davis also hitting free agency next month, Tennessee could have a completely remade receiving corps behind A.J. Brown. Still just 27, Humphries should be able to land somewhere with a decent shot to be a No. 3 or No. 4 receiver.
The Titans placed Adam Humphries on injured reserve.
It's unclear what the exact designation is, but Humphries just returned on Sunday after missing multiple weeks with a concussion. The veteran wideout will now be out until at least the regular season finale, though hopefully it's not a longer-term issue that would keep him out into January.
Adam Humphries gets carted off after hit to the head.
Humphries made a great effort on an attempt at a leaping grab at the end of the first half, but he took a helmet-to-helmet hit and is unfortunately now being stretchered off the field [UPDATE: Humphries got up under his own power and is setting upright while getting carted off]. Humphries did not have any receptions before leaving today's game. Hopefully he's feeling better soon.
The Titans activated Adam Humphries off the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Humphries will have missed just one game after getting COVID-19, which is a major positive. It's good to see him feeling fine and able to return to his team.
Adam Humphries has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
Humphries is one of several Titans to test positive for COVID-19, and we wish them all well in their recovery. In a best-case scenario, the veteran wideout would probably miss just one game (next week against the Bills), but he will need to get cleared before a return.
Adam Humphries (ankle) is officially active for the AFC Championship.
Humphries had been out since Week 13 with his ankle injury, but he’s gotten his ankle in position to make cuts and run crisp routes. Humphries might be somewhat limited in his first game back, but his presence is a boost for the Titans over the middle.
Adam Humphries (ankle) is officially listed as questionable for the AFC Championship.
The Titans said that Humphries will be making the trip to Kansas City for Sunday's game, so it looks like they'll put him through warmups and make a determination on his status 90 minutes before kickoff. If active, Humphries would be a boost for the Titans in the middle of the field.
Adam Humphries (ankle) officially remained limited in today's practice.
Two consecutive practices is a good sign for Humphries, and he's trending towards a questionable tag when the final injury report for the AFC Championship is released tomorrow.
Adam Humphries (ankle) was officially limited in today's practice.
Humphries is back on the practice field for the first time in over a month, and he looks to have a shot to return for the AFC Championship Game this weekend. We'll monitor Humphries practice status throughout the week.
Adam Humphries (ankle) has been ruled out for the Divisional Round.
Humphries has been out for several weeks now, but the Titans have held off placing him on IR with the hopes that he can return if they advance beyond Saturday. Tennessee will mostly run the offense through Derrick Henry, A.J. Brown, and Jonnu Smith against Baltimore.
Adam Humphries (ankle) officially did not practice today.
We expect Humphries will be ruled out tomorrow, but perhaps he can make considerable progress and push to play on Saturday night.
Adam Humphries (ankle) officially did not practice today.
Humphries appears unlikely to return to the lineup this Saturday night against the Ravens, but we'll track his status over the next couple of days.
Adam Humphries (ankle) has been ruled out for the Wild Card Round.
This was fully expected, as Humphries has not returned to practice for the Titans after missing the last four games of the regular season. Humphries probably remains on the doubtful side of things if Tennessee is able to advance to next weekend.
Adam Humphries (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 17.
Humphries' first regular season with the Titans ends with 37 receptions for 374 yards and two touchdowns in 12 games. Considering he's been ruled out ahead of the weekend, the reliable receiver might have a tough time getting on the field next weekend if Tennessee makes the postseason.
Adam Humphries (ankle) is officially out for Week 16.
This is Humphries third consecutive missed game with his ankle injury, and he’s probably on the doubtful side of things for Week 16 considering he’s been ruled out ahead of the weekend again.
Adam Humphries (ankle) has officially been ruled out for Week 15.
Humphries remains week-to-week with his ankle injury, and it's probably not a good sign that he's already being ruled out ahead of the weekend for a home game. Humphries is not a must-hold, even in deep redraft leagues.
Adam Humphries (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 14.
Humphries is dealing with an ankle injury and did not practice all week for the Titans. This could lead to an increased role for tight end Jonnu Smith over the middle this week against the Raiders.
The Titans are signing Adam Humphies, according to NFL Network.
Humphries will probably get a fairly lucrative multi-year deal, and he seems like a good fit for Marcus Mariota as a reliable target out of the slot. Last year, the Clemson product finished with a 76/816/5 line in Tampa Bay, and he will probably be projected at around similar numbers in 2019, especially if Corey Davis doesn’t emerge as an elite WR1.
Adam Humphries catches five passes against the Falcons.
Humphries gained 66 yards on his five Week 17 receptions. Humphries' season ends with 76 receptions for 816 yards and five touchdowns, setting career-highs across the board. Humphries is set to become a free agent this offseason, and it'll be interesting to see what type of interest he draws if he's not re-signed before hitting the open market. The Bucs probably want to bring him back to man the third receiver spot behind Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, so expect him to be back with Tampa Bay in 2019.
Adam Humphries catches ten passes in Week 16.
Humphries gained 79 yards on his ten receptions against the Cowboys. The ten receptions matched a career-high for Humphries, who will look to build on his career season when he faces the Falcons to conclude the season.
Adam Humphries catches four passes in Bucs' loss.
Humphries gained 23 yards on his four receptions versus Baltimore. This is Humphries' lowest receiving total since Week 2, but he had a tough matchup against one of the league's best defenses. Humphries will look to have a stronger showing against the Cowboys in Week 16, but he's not a highly-recommended fantasy option in championships.
Adam Humphries catches four passes in Week 14.
Humphries gained 42 yards on his four receptions against the Saints. This breaks Humphries' three-game streak with a touchdown and his six-game streak with at least 50 yards. He gets a difficult matchup with the Ravens in the second week of the fantasy playoffs.
Adam Humphries finds the end zone in Week 13 win.
Humphries caught seven passes for 61 yards, including a three-yard score on the game's opening possession. The 25-year-old ended up leading the team in targets, and he has now scored five touchdowns over the past five games. Whether or not DeSean Jackson (thumbs) returns next week, Humphries will be worth considering in all formats as a FLEX option against the Saints.
Adam Humphries scores in Week 12.
Humphries caught six passes (on six targets) for 54 yards and a touchdown against the Bucs, with the score coming after he made himself available in the deep middle part of the field after a Jameis Winston scramble for 28 yards. Humphries now has four touchdowns over the last four games, and next week he faces a Panthers team he scored twice against a few weeks ago.
Adam Humphries scores against the Giants.
Humphries caught three passes for 60 yards and a touchdown in Tampa Bay's Week 11 loss. The score was a five-yard slant as the Bucs were working their way back into the game late. This makes it four straight weeks with at least 50 receiving yards for Humphries, who has three receiving touchdowns in that span. He's still not a highly-recommended fantasy option right now, though.
Adam Humphries catches two passes in Bucs' loss.
Humphries had a couple of receptions over 20 yards against the Redskins, with gains of 29 and 24 yards. Overall, he had two receptions for 53 yards. Humphries is in the FLEX mix next week against the Giants, but there are probably better options out there for your Week 11 fantasy lineup.
Adam Humphries has career day as Buccaneers fall to the Panthers, 42-28.
Humphries caught eight passes for 82 yards and two touchdowns, both of which came in the second half. He also added a seven-yard rush. Humphries has come on with at least 76 yards in three of the past four games, and he has earned weekly FLEX consideration as a key piece of Tampa Bay's high-powered passing attack. At the season's midway point, the Clemson product is on pace for a 70/756/4 line. He gets the Redskins in Week 10.
Adam Humphries sees ten targets in Week 8 loss.
Humphries caught seven passes for 76 yards, but Tampa Bay dropped to 3-4 as their comeback attempt fell just short thanks to a last-second field goal by the Bengals. Humphries had become a bigger factor since Jameis Winston retook the starting job, but now that Ryan Fitzpatrick would seem to have earned the role back with Sunday's performance, the slot receiver might not be as big a factor down the stretch. That said, DeSean Jackson sounds like he could be traded, so Humphries could potentially be locked into a full-time role for a pass-happy attack.
Adam Humphries sees eight targets in win over the Browns.
Humphries hauled in half of them for 37 yards. The Clemson product is splitting time with Chris Godwin and DeSean Jackson behind Mike Evans, but he seems to have the most stable role since Jameis Winston took over as the starter. Still, Humphries doesn't carry enough upside to seriously consider outside of deeper leagues heading into a matchup with the Bengals.
Adam Humphries leads Buccaneers in Week 6 receiving.
Humphries was targeted four times against the Falcons, catching three passes for 82 yards. He had a long reception of 51 yards in the loss. It's difficult to trust Humphries in fantasy lineups, but it's good to see him continue to have a sizable role in a stacked receiving corps.
Adam Humphries caught six passes for 36 yards in Sunday's loss to the Bears.
Humphries might have seen extended run after Chris Godwin had an up-and-down game in Week 4, and the Buccaneers simply couldn't get going offensively with Ryan Fitzpatrick getting benched for Jameis Winston. The 25-year-old won't be a recommended fantasy option when Tampa Bay returns from their bye to face Atlanta.
Adam Humphries catches three passes in Week 3.
Humphries gained 30 yards on his three receptions, and he also had a four-yard carry in the loss to Pittsburgh. Humphries would have probably had a touchdown on a zig type of route at the goal line, but he slipped on a muddy surface and couldn't reach the ball after a diving attempt. Humphries is a good real-life asset for Tampa Bay, but he's hard to trust in fantasy lineups.
Adam Humphries held to one reception as Tampa Bay offense explodes again.
Humphries' lone catch went for eight yards. The Bucs have finally committed to Chris Godwin as a full-time player, which drains the value of their slot receiver, especially with Ryan Fitzpatrick under center instead of Jameis Winston. Humphries doesn't need to be owned heading into a matchup with the Steelers.
Adam Humphries goes over 100 yards in Week 17 win.
Humphries caught seven passes for 102 yards in the 31-24 victory. The team's slot receiver finishes 2017 with a respectable 61/631/1 line, which is basically what he did last season. Humphries won't be a high-upside option in fantasy leagues next year.
Adam Humphries caught three passes for 51 yards in Sunday's loss to the Panthers.
Humphries had a nice game, and it included a 36-yard reception on a day where Jameis Winston consistently gained chunk yardage against Carolina's defense. The slot receiver will look to surpass 500 yards on the year (22 away) in next week's season finale against the Saints. He won't be a recommended fantasy option.
Adam Humphries provides clutch play in loss to the Falcons.
Humphries caught five passes for 43 yards, including a 16-yard touchdown to cut the lead to three late in the fourth quarter. He also rushed once for six yards and returned a punt 19 yards to set up Tampa Bay nicely on the final drive that resulted in a missed field goal as time expired. Humphries could be a factor next week if DeSean Jackson (ankle) misses more time, but he won't be a strong fantasy option.
Adam Humphries caught three passes for 25 yards in Sunday's loss to Detroit.
Humphries should remain on the waiver wire down the stretch. He's just a low-upside target for Jameis Winston.
Adam Humphries catches all four targets against Green Bay.
Humphries gained 33 yards on his four receptions in the Week 13 overtime loss. He's not a highly-reccomended fantasy option at the moment.
Adam Humphries caught four passes for 38 yards in Sunday's loss to the Falcons.
Humphries continues to work as Tampa Bay's third receiver behind Mike Evans and DeSean Jackson, but rookie Chris Godwin could start to eat more and more snaps down the stretch with the Bucs at 4-7. Keep Humphries on the waiver wire.
Adam Humphries caught two passes for 11 yards in Sunday's win.
Humphries has two receptions in each of the past three games, but has been between 11-17 yards every time. He's not a fantasy option.
Adam Humphries has quiet day as Bucs defeat the Jets.
Humphries caught two passes for 17 yards, as Chris Godwin stepped up most (five receptions for 68 yards) with Mike Evans suspended. Tampa Bay should find a way to get Godwin on the field when Evans is back, but Humphries will probably remain the primary slot receiver. Still, he should be on the waiver wire.
Adam Humphries caught two passes for 14 yards in Sunday's loss to the Saints.
Tampa Bay only threw for 135 yards in a 30-10 defeat, and they've now dropped to 2-6 on the season. Humphries isn't a fantasy option heading into a matchup with the Jets.
Adam Humphries caught four passes for 26 yards in Sunday's loss to the Panthers.
A crucial fumble lost in Week 7 might have potentially opened the door for rookie Chris Godwin as the team's third receiver, but it didn't happen on Sunday. Humphries isn't a fantasy option against the Saints next week.
Adam Humphries commits crucial fumble in Week 7 loss.
Humphries caught two passes for 13 yards, but his biggest impact in the game came with the Bucs tied at 27 and attempting to position themselves for a game-winning score, as the slot receiver lost a fumble that rookie cornerback Tre'Davious White punched out and recovered. The turnover essentially set Buffalo into field goal range and allowed them to kick the game-winner. Humphries isn't a fantasy option for the now 2-4 Bucs.
Adam Humphries caught six passes for 51 yards in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals.
The Buccaneers were playing from behind as Arizona jumped out to a 31-0 lead, but Ryan Fitzpatrick almost brought them back in relief of an injured Jameis Winston. Humphries will continue to operate as the team's slot receiver next Sunday in Buffalo, but he's not a recommended fantasy option whether Winston returns or not.
Adam Humphries catches three passes in Week 5.
Humphries was targeted five times in the game, gaining 51 yards on his three receptions. He was a key target for Jameis Winston at the end of the game when the team was attempting a comeback and he'll remain a key member of the Bucs, but he's not a reliable fantasy option.
Adam Humphries leads team in catches as Bucs top Giants.
Humphries caught six passes for 70 yards, including a long reception of 38 yards. The slot receiver could have an easier matchup on Thursday night against New England if Eric Rowe (groin) doesn't play, but he's not a recommended fantasy option either way.
Adam Humphries gets ten targets in Week 3 loss.
Humphries caught six of the ten targets for 68 yards against the Vikings. He played really well in the game, but he's more of a real-life asset for Tampa Bay than he will be for your fantasy team in all likelihood, given there are so many mouths to feed in that offense.
Adam Humphries catches two passes in Week 2.
He had 18 yards on his two receptions (three targets). With so many weapons for Tampa Bay, Humphries will struggle to be a good fantasy option, but he'll be a good real-life contributor for the Bucs.
Adam Humphries left Saturday night's game against the Browns with a hip injury and will not return.
The slot receiver had two catches for 24 yards before leaving, but it's likely just a precaution, as he was standing on the sidelines in full uniform when they announced he was done for the game. Chris Godwin has impressed tonight with Mike Evans and DeSean Jackson out, so Humphries could lose playing time to the rookie early in the regular season.
Humphries caught five passes for 42 yards in last night's win over the Jaguars.
With the starters playing the entire first half and throwing it a whopping 29 times, Humphries tied Mike Evans for the team-high in catches. It looks like the 24-year-old has a good hold on the slot receiver job, but he will struggle to find fantasy value on a loaded offense, especially if the team finds ways to get impressive rookie Chris Godwin snaps.
Humphries held to three-yard catch in preseason opener.
The 24-year-old worked with the first-team offense ahead of Chris Godwin, but the rookie could end up pushing him in three-WR sets. Either way, Humphries is a solid player, but will do more for the Buccaneers than he will fantasy teams.
10-catch day for Humphries in season finale.
Humphries caught 10-of-13 targets for 94 yards in a Bucs' win over the Panthers. The second-year wideout finishes his sophomore season with 55 catches for 622 yards and two touchdowns. Tampa Bay should add a starting wide receiver alongside Mike Evans this offseason, but Humphries has definitely earned a role with his play. Still, he won't be drafted in fantasy leagues.
Adam Humphries catches Week 15 touchdown.
Humphries had two catches for 49 yards and a 42-yard touchdown. Jameis Winston made a great throw rolling to his left on a deep ball to Humphries. The ball was tipped by a defense, then Humphries tipped it to himself while falling in the endzone. Humphries isn't a reliable fantasy option next week against New Orleans.
Humphries catches only target in Bucs 14-5 Week 12 win.
He had one catch for 18 yards. He'll be a deep league FLEX option next week against San Diego.
Adam Humphries caught four passes for 47 yards in Sunday’s win.
It was his fourth straight game with over 45 receiving yards. Even though he isn’t starting, Humphries is easily the Bucs second best receiver this season, catching 39 passes for 430 yards and one touchdown on the year. Still, he doesn’t need to be owned outside of deeper leagues.
Humphries catches five passes for 46 yards in win.
The Clemson product now has at least 46 yards in three straight games. He can stay on the waiver wire for now, but is someone to keep an eye on with an easy schedule down the stretch.
