WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Brandon Aiyuk | 49ers WR

Brandon Aiyuk has a high-ankle sprain.

Aiyuk will miss Week 17, so his season is over. Injury and COVID-19 issues forced San Francisco’s first-round pick to miss time, but his impressive rookie campaign ends with 60 receptions, 748 yards, and five touchdowns (plus six carries for 77 and another two scores) in 12 games. It will be interesting to see how having George Kittle and Deebo Samuel healthy in 2021 might impact Aiyuk’s targets, but his arrow is pointing straight up in Kyle Shanahan’s offense, and there might even be a case to rank him as a WR1 next summer.

Brandon Aiyuk | 49ers WR

Brandon Aiyuk has been activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Aiyuk missed one game for his second stint on the COVID-19 list, but he'll return and give the Niners another boost as they look to make a playoff run down the stretch. San Francisco will likely look to get both Deebo Samuel and Aiyuk the ball often moving forward.

Brandon Aiyuk | 49ers WR

The 49ers have placed Brandon Aiyuk on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

San Francisco is currently on their bye, so as long as Aiyuk doesn't actually have the virus, he should have plenty of time to get cleared for Week 12. The rookie was also on the list earlier this month.

Brandon Aiyuk | 49ers WR

Brandon Aiyuk has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Aiyuk is yet another loss for San Francisco this week, and it will pretty much be the JaMycal Hasty show for them on Thursday night. The rookie wideout will hopefully be cleared by next week, but it’s tough to trust any of the wideouts for San Francisco right now.

Brandon Aiyuk | 49ers WR

Brandon Aiyuk is off the injury report.

Despite missing Week 1, Aiyuk's hamstring injury is in the past, and the first-round rookie receiver will make his NFL debut this Sunday against the Jets. Aiyuk is an upside pickup if available in your league. San Francisco gets both Aiyuk and veteran Mohamed Sanu as boosts to the receiving corps for Week 2.

Brandon Aiyuk | 49ers WR

Brandon Aiyuk (hamstring) is officially inactive for Week 1.

The NFL debut for the Niners’ first-round receiver will have to wait, as Jimmy Garoppolo is set to throw to a depleted supporting cast today against the Cardinals. Aiyuk is worth holding on most rosters if you have the space.

Brandon Aiyuk | 49ers WR

Brandon Aiyuk (hamstring) is officially listed as questionable for Week 1.

49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan sounded relatively optimistic about Aiyuk having a realistic chance to play this Sunday versus the Cardinals, but the rookie receiver’s status might not be known until after the 1:00 games have kicked off on Sunday.

Brandon Aiyuk | 49ers WR

Brandon Aiyuk (hamstring) was officially limited in today's practice.

Aiyuk should have a shot to play this Sunday against the Cardinals, but his status is very much in the air ahead of Friday's practice. Hopefully he can get up to a full participation status, but the rookie could be trending toward a questionable tag regardless.

Brandon Aiyuk | 49ers WR

Brandon Aiyuk injured his hamstring at practice.

It is yet another injury to San Francisco’s receiving corps, but hopefully a minor one that won’t put the rookie in danger of missing the opener. There is a chance Aiyuk opens the season as the team’s top receiver if Deebo Samuel (foot) is out.

Brandon Aiyuk | 49ers WR

The 49ers have selected Arizona State wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk with the No. 25 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

San Francisco gets another explosive weapon with the ball in his hands, as Aiyuk is coming off an 1,192-yard season with the Sun Devils, doing a ton of damage after the catch. Aiyuk can also contribute as a punt returner, and he can stretch the field and get deep along with his strong yards-after-catch ability. Our full scouting report for Aiyuk can be read in the link below, but he figures to have a good chance to emerge as a top three target for the Niners along with George Kittle and Deebo Samuel this season.
