WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Braxton Berrios | Jets WR

The Jets are re-signing Braxton Berrios.

Berrios gets a nice two-year, $12 million deal after coming on strong toward the end of last season. Expect Berrios to compete for a big role in the Jets offense in 2022. We'll see if this counts New York out of the mix for top free-agent receivers like Allen Robinson.

Braxton Berrios | Jets WR

Braxton Berrios (hamstring) is officially active against the Dolphins.

Berrios is playing in Miami (where he went to college to play for the Hurricanes), which is probably cool for him. Berrios is not a highly recommended Week 9 fantasy option.

Braxton Berrios | Jets WR

Braxton Berrios (hamstring) is questionable for Week 9.

Berrios isn't currently on the redraft radar, but his potential absence would create a hole for New York in the return game.

Braxton Berrios | Jets WR

The Jets claimed Braxton Berrios.

After getting cut by the Patriots yesterday, the second-year receiver will move down the East Coast and stay in the AFC East to join the Jets. He might slide behind Jamison Crowder on the depth chart in the slot.

Braxton Berrios | Jets WR

The Patriots are waiving Braxton Berrios, according to multiple reports.

Berrios was drafted in the sixth round of the 2018 draft and there were high hopes for him eventually taking over the slot role in New England, but the Patriots receiving corps suddenly got crowded when Josh Gordon (suspension) and Demaryius Thomas (injury) returned. If Berrios goes unclaimed on waivers, the practice squad for the Patriots would be a good spot for him.

Braxton Berrios | Jets WR

The Patriots placed Braxton Berrios on injured reserve.

New England is probably doing this so they don't lose the sixth-round rookie receiver to waivers, though Berrios is dealing with an undisclosed injury, so the severity is unclear. This might be a redshirt season of sorts for the former Miami Hurricane.

Braxton Berrios | Jets WR

The Patriots have selected Miami (FL) wide receiver Braxton Berrios with the 210th pick (sixth round) of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Berrios is a quality slot receiver from The U, so this is a typical Patriots pick and the potential successor to Julian Edelman in Josh McDaniels' offense. However, he will likely need to prove himself in camp, as New England has a ton of depth at wide receiver, and it's unlikely he makes a big year-one impact from a fantasy perspective.
