CeeDee Lamb | Cowboys WR

CeeDee Lamb (concussion) will not play today, according to multiple reports.

Lamb made swift progress through the NFL's concussion protocol, but it's a process that rightfully puts player safety first, and Lamb was unfortunately unable to clear the final step of the protocol (getting cleared by an independent neurologist). The Cowboys will now be without both Amari Cooper (COVID-19) and Lamb for the Week 12 Thanksgiving matchup against the Raiders. The good news is Lamb appears to be feeling good after practicing yesterday and all the optimism there was surrounding his status, and hopefully he continues to feel well and is back for Week 13.

CeeDee Lamb | Cowboys WR

CeeDee Lamb (concussion) is questionable for Week 12.

Lamb returned to the practice field for a non-padded session today, and all indications have been that he will clear the protocol by tomorrow. That said, the final step is being cleared by an independent neurologist, so it wouldn't be a surprise if Lamb didn't get the OK just four days after the injury. If he plays, Lamb will be a must-start and upside WR1 against the Raiders.

CeeDee Lamb (head) is out for the rest of today.

Lamb hit his head on the ground hard on a jump ball to the end zone (which was intercepted) toward the end of the first half against the Chiefs, and he's out for the rest of this Week 11 matchup. Before leaving, Lamb had three receptions for 14 yards. He'll now have to clear concussion protocol in a few days to play in the Thanksgiving Day matchup with Washington.

CeeDee Lamb | Cowboys WR

The Cowboys have selected Oklahoma wide receiver CeeDee Lamb with the No. 17 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

A magician with the ball in his hands, Lamb is coming off a season in which he caught 62 passes for 1,327 yards (21.4 yards per receptions) and 14 touchdowns in 13 games for the playoff-bound Sooners. The six-foot-two receiver has drawn comparisons to Davante Adams and DeAndre Hopkins, so that should give you a pretty good idea about his potential in the league. The Cowboys already have some exceptional options at receiver, but Mike McCarthy's offenses have historically allowed multiple receivers to put up strong fantasy numbers. From a real-life perspective, this move should be awesome for Dallas with Lamb joining Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup, but the Oklahoma product might have limited fantasy upside as a rookie given that he won't likely be a No. 1 target.
