The Colts signed Charcandrick West.
The former Chiefs running back spent five seasons with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent in 2014, but he'll now look to carve out a role in Indianapolis with the Colts. West might ultimately be a better real-life contributor for his new team than he will be a fantasy asset in 2019.
Charcandrick West rushes once in Week 17 win.
It went for a loss of two yards. West hasn't seen many touches since being re-signed following Kareem Hunt's suspension, but perhaps he will make a postseason impact.
Charcandrick West scores against the Seahawks.
West carried one time for one yard and caught two passes for 37 yards and a touchdown in the Chiefs’ Week 16 loss. The score was a 25-yarder on a play where he made himself available down the middle of the field during a Patrick Mahomes scramble. West is a strong contributor, especially in passing situations, for the Chiefs in real life, but he’s difficult to trust in fantasy lineups.
The Chiefs have officially signed Charcandrick West, according to ESPN's Field Yates.
NFL Network reported earlier that this was expected to happen, and now it's apparently official. West spent the last four seasons with Kansas City, so he has obvious familiarity with the offense and should fit right in as more depth now that Kareem Hunt is no longer on the team. We expect Spencer Ware and Damien Williams will remain the top two running backs for the Chiefs, but it's possible West carves out a sizable role on third downs.
Charcandrick West was released by the Jets.
West, who was released by Kansas City this summer, had a tough task making the Jets' 53-man roster after arriving late. The versatile running back should land someplace else soon.
The Jets have signed running back Charcandrick West.
West was recently released by the Chiefs because of the team's crowded backfield, and it didn't take West much time to find a new team. The Jets also have a deep backfield, so West isn't guaranteed a roster spot, especially after arriving so late in the summer. He might be able to work his way into a third-down role, though. However, West is not on the fantasy radar at the moment.
The Chiefs have released running back Charcandrick West.
West has been a very good contributor for Kansas City the last three seasons, but he fell victim to the numbers game, as the Chiefs have one of the most-stacked running back groups in the NFL. The Chiefs releasing West now allows the 27-year-old to find a new team. He should receive interest as a versatile player that can contribute on special teams.

Interestingly, they all came on the ground, as West rushed five times for six yards. He mostly handled the clock-killing work with Kansas City up 30-13 late in the fourth quarter, and he won't be a fantasy option in Week 16.
Charcandrick West scores in Week 14 win.
West rushed three times for 25 yards, including a 13-yard touchdown to put the Chiefs up 26-0. With Kareem Hunt healthy and back on track, West can remain on the waiver wire heading into a matchup with the Chargers.

West hasn't practice all week for personal reasons, but we don't know much more than that. Hopefully everything is OK with West personally. Akeem Hunt will mix in more behind Kareem Hunt against the Jets on Sunday.

West was targeted on a few check downs, gaining seven yards on his three receptions. He's more of a handcuff to Kareem Hunt at the moment.

He also rushed once for three yards. West saw extended playing time with the Chiefs getting a little pass happy, as Kareem Hunt rushed just nine times. Keep him on the waiver wire as Kansas City heads into their bye week.
Charcandrick West gets one touch in win over Denver.
West was back after missing Week 7's Thursday night's game with a concussion, but he didn't get much work in the game. West caught one of two targets for four yards tonight, and he'll look to do more damage against the Cowboys in Week 9.
Charcandrick West (concussion) is expected to be ready for Week 8.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said it today, and the release of C.J. Spiller for a fourth time verifies that. Expect West to return in a big game against the Broncos on Monday Night Football in Week 8.
Charcandrick West (concussion) is out against the Raiders.
Akeem Hunt will now probably work in more behind Kareem Hunt, with C.J. Spiller also potentially mixing in. Kareem Hunt could be in for an even bigger workload than usual tonight. Hopefully West is OK for two Mondays from now against Denver.
Charcandrick West (concussion) has been ruled out for Thursday night.
West is still in concussion protocol and just wasn't able to get cleared in time to play tomorrow against Oakland. The recently signed C.J. Spiller will likely be active for the game, and Akeem Hunt could see some more work, but rookie Kareem Hunt will likely take most of West's snaps and get a huge workload against the Raiders. Hopefully West is OK and out of protocol soon.
Charcandrick West is still in concussion protocol.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid says West won't practice today. On a short turnaround for Thursday night's game after just playing Sunday, West might not be ready for the game in time. The team signed veteran running back C.J. Spiller yesterday.
Charcandrick West catches two touchdowns in Chiefs' win.
West caught two passes for 12 yards and two touchdowns against the Texans. He also had a one-yard carry in the game. West continued to work in passing situations and the touchdowns were in the first half. The first was on a play where West rolled to the left as Alex Smith scrambled left and he made a nice catch at the end zone, and the second was on a pass to the flat where West made a very athletic catch and them made a smooth juke move to get into the end zone. It's hard to trust West in fantasy lineups behind Kareem, Hunt, but he's a big contributor for Kansas City.
Charcandrick West catches five passes in Week 4.
West carried once for two yards while adding 35 yards on his five receptions. On most passing and third-down situations, West was in there over rookie Kareem Hunt. He's probably just a PPR bye week option for now.
Charcandrick West sees four touches in the Chiefs' win over the Chargers.
West rushed twice for negative-one yard and caught two passes for 14 yards. He will continue to see a handful of touches behind Kareem Hunt, but West isn't a fantasy option for as long as the rookie is healthy.
Charcandrick West scores on only carry in Week 1.
Rookie Kareem Hunt worked as the clear lead back as he totaled nearly 250 yards and three touchdowns. West had one reception for four yards and had one carry in the fourth quarter that he took for a 21-yard touchdown, basically sealing the game for the Chiefs. If Hunt remains healthy West won't be a good fantasy option, but he is a good handcuff.
Charcandrick West gets six touches in Week 3 of the preseason.
West had three carries for -1 yards and caught three-of-four targets for nine yards. His teammate Spencer Ware unfortunately went down with a knee injury that could force him to miss an extended period of time and/or the season, but rookie Kareem Hunt worked as the clear number one back when Ware went down. West does look like he'll be the number two if Ware does miss time, as is expected.
Charcandrick West breaks 50-yard run in preseason Week 2.
West had seven carries for 113 yards, including his long run. This was a needed performance, as he appears to be on the roster bubble in a Chiefs running back group that also includes Spencer Ware, Kareem Hunt, and C.J. Spiller.
Charcandrick West carries five times for six yards in Chiefs preseason game versus SF.
West didn't have any receptions in the game. It looks like West is behind Kareem Hunt but ahead of C.J. Spiller in the pecking order in Kansas City's backfield, but things can change throughout the preseason.
Charcandrick West scores twice in Chiefs' win.
West had 16 carries for 58 yards and five receptions for 58 yards and two touchdowns against the Chargers. West filled in nicely for Spencer Ware and got 21 touches in the game. West finishes the regular season with 88 carries for 293 yards and one touchdown rushing, with 28 catches for 188 yards and two touchdowns receiving. With Spencer Ware very likely to be back for the playoffs, West will mix in behind him for the Chiefs.
Charcandrick West gets 15 touches in Chiefs' win.
West had 14 carries for 35 yards and one catch for three yards versus Denver. He got a lot of his work late in the game when the Chiefs essentially had the game locked up. West is not a reliable fantasy option in Week 17 behind Spencer Ware.
Charcandrick West scores in win.
West rushed twice for four yards, including a three-yard touchdown in the 2nd quarter. With Spencer Ware out-touching him 21-2, West isn't a realistic fantasy option. He's still a solid handcuff.
Charcandrick West sees one touch in win.
West is just a handcuff to Spencer Ware, but is a good bench stash for playoff teams as a potential RB2 if Ware goes down.
Charcandrick West gets three carries behind Spencer Ware.
He had three carries for eight yards and is simply a handcuff to Ware for fantasy purposes. He'd be an RB2 if Ware went down.
Charcandrick West doesn’t see a carry, catches three passes in loss.
West caught three passes for 42 yards, but Spencer Ware dominated carries for the Chiefs on Sunday. As long as Ware is healthy, West shouldn’t be in lineups. He’s still worth a bench stash as at least an RB2 if anything happens to Ware.
West sees just 5 touches in Kansas City's victory over Carolina.
He rushed twice for 5 yards and caught 3 passes for another 5 yards. West is worth rostering as a handcuff to Spencer Ware, but has no standalone value as a change-of-pace for the Chiefs offense; Ware saw 16 touches on Sunday.
