WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

DeAndre Carter | Chargers WR

The Bears activated DeAndre Carter from the reserve/COVID-19 list.

It's good to hear Carter is feeling OK and will reunite with his teammates. Carter will mostly contribute on special teams for Chicago, so he's off the fantasy radar for now.

DeAndre Carter | Chargers WR

The Bears placed DeAndre Carter on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

This explains the positive test the temporarily shut down the Bears facility earlier today. Hopefully Carter is feeling better and can rejoin his teammates soon.

DeAndre Carter | Chargers WR

The Bears claimed DeAndre Carter.

Carter was waived by the Texans yesterday, and he lands with a team in the NFC playoff mix. The Bears are currently on their bye week, so Carter will have time to get acclimated ahead of Week 12. He might instantly contribute on punt returns in particular.

DeAndre Carter | Chargers WR

The Texans waived DeAndre Carter.

Carter is a solid special-teams contributor that might quickly draw interest elsewhere, but he might land back with Houston on the practice squad if he goes unclaimed.

DeAndre Carter | Chargers WR

The Texans signed DeAndre Carter to a contract extension.

Carter was third in the league with a 9.7 yards per punt return average last season, and he's performed well on offense when given the opportunity. Houston continues to commit to players currently within the organization ahead of the start of free agency next week.

DeAndre Carter | Chargers WR

DeAndre Carter catches four passes against the Jags.

Carter gained 33 yards on his four Week 17 receptions. He also lost a fumble. Carter's regular season, which started with the Eagles, ends with 22 receptions for 216 yards (2o receptions for 196 yards with Houston). Carter is a strong special-teams contributor as a returner, but he'll look to make an impact on offense and special teams during the postseason.

DeAndre Carter | Chargers WR

DeAndre Carter catches six passes against the Eagles.

Carter gained 61 yards on his six receptions in the Texans' Week 16 loss. It was a solid performance, but Carter probably would've loved to get a win against his former team. Carter could have a bigger role next week and into the postseason with Demaryius Thomas (Achilles) likely done for the season, but Keke Coutee (hamstring) could be close to a return.

DeAndre Carter | Chargers WR

DeAndre Carter caught two passes for 55 yards in Saturday night's win over the Jets.

He also rushed once for a seven-yard gain. Carter has been operating as the team's No. 3 wideout with Keke Coutee (hamstring) out, but hopefully the rookie will be back in Week 16. If so, Carter will look to do damage as a punt returner against his former Eagles team.

DeAndre Carter | Chargers WR

DeAndre Carter (concussion) is out for the rest of today's game.

Carter is a strong contributor on special teams and chips in on offense, so this is a big loss for the Texans. Hopefully he's feeling better soon and doesn't miss much longer than the rest of today.

DeAndre Carter | Chargers WR

DeAndre Carter caught six passes for 32 yards in Sunday's win over the Browns.

Carter worked as the team's No. 3 wideout with Keke Coutee (hamstring) out, and he brought in all six of his targets. Houston's punt returner will only be worth considering next week in PPR leagues if Coutee misses another game.

DeAndre Carter | Chargers WR

DeAndre Carter catches 14-yard pass in win over the Titans.

Carter was targeted just once, but he operated as the team's No. 3 wideout when Keke Coutee (hamstring) left the game. While the former Eagle will mostly be a punt returner, he is worth keeping tabs on for a potential Week 13 start against the Browns if Coutee isn't able to go.

DeAndre Carter | Chargers WR

The Texans claimed wide receiver DeAndre Carter.

Carter was just waived by the Eagles yesterday, and he lands in a nice spot with the Texans. Carter was impressive during the preseason and can contribute on special teams as well as offense, but he's not a recommended fantasy pickup outside of deep dynasty leagues.

DeAndre Carter | Chargers WR

The Eagles have waived wide receiver DeAndre Carter.

Carter has bounced on and off the active roster a couple times this season, but he might not be back now that Golden Tate is in Philadelphia. This could also mean that Darren Sproles will finally return this weekend and be used as the team’s primary punt returner. Carter has flashed enough talent that he should resurface.

DeAndre Carter | Chargers WR

DeAndre Carter catches one pass in Eagles' win.

Carter's lone reception against the Giants went for 11 yards, but he was also a good contributor as a returner, including on a crafty 23-yard return in which he shook a couple of defenders. Carter is more of a real-life contributor than fantasy asset for now.

DeAndre Carter | Chargers WR

The Eagles promoted DeAndre Carter to the active roster.

Carter played in the first two games of the season for Philadelphia before landing back on the practice squad, but now he's back to the 53-man roster. Carter is not a fantasy option, but he'll contribute when called upon in real life.

DeAndre Carter | Chargers WR

The Eagles signed DeAndre Carter to the practice squad.

Jordan Matthews basically took Carter's spot on the 53-man roster, but the five-foot-eight receiver is back with Philadelphia on the practice squad after impressing during the summer. Carter has shown he can work his way back onto the active roster, but he's not on the fantasy radar at the moment.

DeAndre Carter | Chargers WR

The Eagles waived wide receiver DeAndre Carter.

Carter had an excellent summer for the Eagles, but he's being waived to make room for Josh Adams being brought up from the practice squad. Carter might find his way back onto the team at some point, as their receiving corps is thin. This move could indicate Alshon Jeffery is very close to a return, though.

DeAndre Carter | Chargers WR

DeAndre Carter makes first career catch in win over the Falcons.

It was a ten-yard reception in the first half, as the 25-year-old was given starter snaps with Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) inactive. Carter definitely has some game and gets a cupcake matchup against Tampa Bay next week, but there are probably safer options to use in Week 2 at such a deep position.

DeAndre Carter | Chargers WR

DeAndre Carter made the Eagles' 53-man roster.

This is a great story for the 25-year-old who has been cut six different times since entering the league in 2015. Carter played well this preseason and earned a spot on the defending Super Bowl champions' roster. There's a chance Carter has a decent role on offense to open the season with Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) likely out, but he's not a recommended fantasy option.
