Dede Westbrook is officially signing with the Vikings today.
This has been expected for a day or so according to multiple reports, and it'll become official today as Westbrook joins Minnesota for the start of training camp. The former Jaguars receiver is coming off of a torn ACL, but he should have a good shot to win the No. 3 receiver job alongside Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen this season.
The Jaguars fear Dede Westbrook suffered a torn ACL, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Westbrook's injury seemed to have the makings of a serious one, and he will likely miss the rest of the year. The former Oklahoma standout only had one reception this season and was often inactive, but he had 66 receptions in back-to-back seasons before that and could be a buy-low option in dynasty leagues as he heads into free agency in a few months.
Dede Westbrook was carted off with a leg injury.
The Jaguars are now officially calling it a knee injury, and his day is done. Westbrook was contributing mostly as a returner before leaving the game.
Dede Westbrook is inactive for Week 1.
Westbrook was not on the injury report this week and appears to be a healthy scratch to open the season, which is a bit of a surprise. Westbrook can stay on the waiver wire in redraft leagues.
Dede Westbrook (neck/shoulder) is officially active for Week 17.
Westbrook has continued to play through this neck/shoulder issue, and he’ll finish out the season today against the Colts. Westbrook is not a highly recommended fantasy option for Week 17.
Dede Westbrook (neck/shoulder) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday.
Westbrook has been battling this neck/shoulder issue for a while, and we expect that he will play in Week 17 against the Colts. That said, the Jaguars don't play unit the later slate of games, so be sure to have a backup plan if you are using him in your lineup.
Dede Westbrook (neck/shoulder) is officially inactive for London game.
This is a bit of a surprise and a disappointment for Westbrook, who made the trip across the pond and will not play for Jacksonville. Westbrook's absence likely means more targets for D.J. Chark and Chris Conley on the outside, with Keelan Cole also likely getting more reps.
Dede Westbrook (neck/shoulder) is officially listed as questionable for Week 9.
Westbrook is likely to continue playing as he deals with his neck/shoulder issue, but be sure to get up early and ensure that he's active if you're planning to use him in your fantasy lineup. The Jaguars kickoff at 9:30 AM ET for their London game, so Westbrook's status will be official at 8:00 AM ET on Sunday.
Dede Westbrook (neck/shoulder) has been ruled out for the rest of today.
Westbrook entered the game with neck and shoulder injuries, and that's what he's being listed as having while being ruled out for the rest of this game versus the Jets. Westbrook did not have a catch before leaving.
Dede Westbrook (neck/shoulder) is officially active for Week 8.
Westbrook was again listed as questionable entering today, but he was fully expected to be ready to go. Westbrook is in the FLEX mix against the Jets.
Dede Westbrook (shoulder) is officially active against the Bengals.
Westbrook popped up on the injury report and was listed as questionable ahead of Week 7, but he’s good to go in a matchup versus a defense that’s without two starting corners. Westbrook is a FLEX play against the injury-riddled defense.
Dede Westbrook (shoulder) is officially listed as questionable for Week 7.
Westbrook missed practice yesterday with the shoulder issue that popped up, but he at least was able to return to the practice field today on a limited basis. We anticipate Westbrook will play on Sunday, but check back at 11:30 AM ET on game day to ensure he's active if you're planning to use him in your fantasy lineup.
Dede Westbrook catches three passes in Week 17.
Westbrook gained ten yards on his three receptions against the Texans, as he couldn't take advantage of a good matchup in a game the Jaguars put up just three points. He also lost a fumble in the loss. Westbrook's 2018 campaign ends with 66 receptions for 717 yards and five touchdowns along with nine carries for 98 yards. We'll see what happens this offseason, but Westbrook is the early favorite to be Jacksonville's No. 1 receiver in 2019. The Oklahoma product could offer 1,000-yard upside if he takes another step forward and the offense improves next season.
Dede Westbrook caught seven passes for 45 yards in Sunday's win over the Dolphins.
He also added a nine-yard rush and threw one pass, which fell incomplete. Westbrook has emerged as the team's No. 1 receiver, but fantasy owners are probably looking towards 2019 for him to pay dividends. That said, Houston is a great matchup next Sunday, and he will be on the FLEX radar no matter who is under center between Blake Bortles and Cody Kessler.
Dede Westbrook caught three passes for 21 yards in Sunday's loss to the Redskins.
He also added a 20-yard rush. Westbrook has some upside, but hopefully fantasy owners don't need to rely on him in Week 16 against the Dolphins.
Dede Westbrook scores in Jaguars' Thursday night loss.
Westbrook caught seven passes for 88 yards and a touchdown against the Titans, with the score coming in the third quarter on a nice spinning reception where he caught the ball in the back of the end zone and drug his second foot to gain possession. Throughout the night, Westbrook made a few tough catches in traffic, and it was one of the better performances of the second-year receiver's career to this point. Westbrook will look to build on this in the final three games of the season staring next week against Washington.
Dede Westbrook catches three passes against the Colts.
Westbrook gained 25 yards on his three Week 13 receptions, and he also had one carry for -1 yard. The second-year receiver is not a highly-recommended fantasy option next week against the Titans, and he probably gets downgraded without Blake Bortles at quarterback. Bortles likes throwing to Westbrook, especially in key situations.
Dede Westbrook scores in Week 12 loss.
Westbrook caught three passes for 44 yards and a touchdown, also adding a 43-yard rush in a 24-21 defeat. The former Heisman finalist gets some good matchups the rest of the way—including next week against the Colts—but Leonard Fournette is probably the only Jacksonville player worth considering for fantasy owners.
Dede Westbrook contained in loss to the Steelers.
Westbrook caught two-of-four targets for 19 yards, which actually led all wideouts on the day. The former Heisman finalist should have a big game or two down the stretch, but he's a very volatile option with Blake Bortles under center, so it's probably better to look elsewhere. The Jaguars take on the Bills in Week 12.
Dede Westbrook catches five passes in Week 10.
Westbrook received a team-high ten targets against the Colts, but he gained just 30 yards on his five receptions. He also had two carries for 13 yards. The second-year receiver has the trust of Blake Bortles, but he's not a highly-recommended fantasy option right now.
Dede Westbrook scores in loss to the Eagles.
Westbrook caught three passes for 31 yards, including an 11-yard touchdown reception in the second half. He also added a nine-yard rush. The Oklahoma product unfortunately cost the Jaguars field position on a potential game-winning drive in the fourth quarter with a taunting penalty, which is at least worth keeping in mind when Jacksonville returns from the Week 9 bye. Consider the second-year wideout a quality FLEX option down the stretch.
Dede Westbrook catches all four targets in Week 7.
Westbrook gained 17 yards on his four receptions, as they were all of the short variety against the Texans. With Jaydon Mickens on injured reserve, Westbrook took over as the team's punt returner and had a 21-yard return. The second-year receiver will look to get deep against the Eagles next week, but he's not a highly-recommended fantasy option.
Dede Westbrook scores in Jaguars' loss.
Westbrook scored a 34-yard touchdown on a deep corner route, and he did a touchdown dance despite his team being down by multiple scores. Overall, Westbrook had three receptions for 38 yards and a touchdown in the Week 6 loss to Dallas. The big-play receiver will look to do some damage against a vulnerable Texans secondary next week.
Dede Westbrook catches three passes in Week 5.
Westbrook gained 55 yards on his three receptions (five targets), including a long of 30 yards, against the Chiefs. The third-year receiver is still Jacksonville's leading receiver, so he'll look to get deep and have a bigger game next week when he plays in his home state against the Cowboys.
Dede Westbrook goes over 100 yards for first time in career in Jaguars' win.
Westbrook was the clear top receiver for the Jaguars against the Jets, drawing 13 targets and catching nine passes for 130 yards. He also added an 11-yard carry and lost a fumble in the Week 4 victory. With Marqise Lee out for the season, the talented former Heisman Trophy finalist from Oklahoma has stepped up through the first four games of the year. Westbrook is currently on pace for 84 receptions for 1,176 yards and four touchdowns. He's a starting option in Week 5 against the Chiefs.
Dede Westbrook catches three passes against the Titans.
Westbrook gained 31 yards on his three receptions (four targets) in the Week 3 loss. This was a down day for the Jaguars offense, and Westbrook will look to have a bigger game next week against the Jets.
Dede Westbrook helps run the Jaguars to victory over the Patriots.
Westbrook caught four passes for 83 yards, including an exciting 61-yard catch and run in the fourth quarter to give Jacksonville a 31-13 lead. He also rushed once for negative-six yards. Westbrook has shown flashes of what made him a Heisman finalist at Oklahoma, and he is worth considering in all leagues with Blake Bortles looking as good as he ever has. We'll see if Westbrook can get loose against the Titans in Week 3.
Dede Westbrook catches five passes in Week 1.
Westbrook's five receptions led the team against the Giants, and he gained 51 yards in the game. The second-year receiver will look to get deep for a big play versus the Patriots in Week 2.
Dede Westbrook catches one pass in playoff loss to New England.
The rookie deep threat's lone reception went for 29 yards. And abdomen injury forced Westbrook to miss the first nine games of the season for the Jags, but he could enter next season in a sizable role, especially if Mariqse Lee leaves in free agency. The former Heisman finalist could be a sleeper candidate in 2018 fantasy drafts.
Dede Westbrook catches one pass in Divisional Round win.
Westbrook's lone reception was for eight yards, and it was for a key first down late in the game as the Jaguars were trying to take more time off the clock. The rookie receiver will now get to play in the AFC Championship in his first NFL season as the Jaguars take on the Patriots next Sunday.
Dede Westbrook leads team in receiving as Jaguars advance.
Westbrook caught five passes for 48 yards in the 10-3 win over Buffalo. The rookie will look to get behind Pittsburgh's defense next Sunday in a game that Jacksonville will almost certainly have to score more than 10 points against.
Dede Westbrook catches one pass in Week 17.
Westbrook gained nine yards on his lone reception. The rookie receiver had a 27/339/1 line in seven games this regular season, and he'll look to make big plays in the playoffs for Jacksonville.
Dede Westbrook catches four passes in Week 16.
Westbrook showed his big-play ability against the 49ers, picking up chunk yardage on his four receptions. Overall, the rookie had 74 yards on his four receptions (seven targets) in the loss. He'll be in FLEX consideration for deeper leagues in Week 17.
Dede Westbrook catches two passes in Week 15.
Westbrook gained 21 yards on his two receptions. He had a good matchup with the Texans, but it was Keelan Cole and Jaydon Mickens that had the huge games in Jacksonville's win. It could have just as easily been Westbrook with a big performance, but that's just how it goes sometimes. With Marqise Lee (ankle) unfortunately looking like he'll miss some time, Westbrook becomes worth stronger consideration as a FLEX option in fantasy lineups.
Dede Westbrook scores first career touchdown in Week 14 win.
Westbrook caught five passes for 81 yards, including an 18-yard touchdown in the third quarter. The rookie receiver hasn't taken long to make an impact since his NFL debut less than a month ago, and it's a great sign for this season and his long-term outlook that he hasn't even needed a deep ball to be productive. Westbrook needs to be considered for fantasy lineups next week against the Texans.
Dede Westbrook gets nine targets against Indy.
Westbrook continues to work his way into a sizable role for the Jags, and he caught six passes for 78 yards in the Week 13 victory. The 78 yards were a career-high for the rookie Westbrook, who's played in only three games so far this season. He's not a highly-reccomended option next week against Seattle, but Westbrook offers upside down the stretch in the fantasy playoffs.
Dede Westbrook targeted a team-high 10 times in Week 12 loss.
Westbrook caught six of his targets for 41 yards, as he benefitted from Patrick Peterson shadowing Marqise Lee. The rookie receiver is worth a pickup in all formats, and he should have at least one big game down the stretch. There's a good chance it comes against Indianapolis next Sunday.
Dede Westbrook catches three passes in NFL debut.
Westbrook didn't come close to his 200-yard game prediction made during the week, but he had a fine first game in the league. The rookie receiver caught three of six targets for 35 yards versus Cleveland. Don't be surprised if Westbrook has a huge breakout game next week against the Cardinals, as they've struggled with deep threats like him this season, and Patrick Peterson is likely to be matched up with Marqise Lee for most of the game. He'll be a boom/bust FLEX option.
Dede Westbrook will make his NFL debut this Sunday.
The talented rookie receiver from Oklahoma was on Injured Reserve because of a core muscle injury, but he's set to play in his first regular season game in Jacksonville's Week 11 matchup against Cleveland. Westbrook is extremely confident he'll make an immediate impact, as he said on SportsRadio930 (via ESPN's Michael DiRocco) that his "expectation is a 200-yard receiving game." Considering Westbrook was a big-play Heisman finalist in college and led the NFL in receiving yards during the preseason, it wouldn't be all that surprising to see him do it—but that doesn't mean you should insert him into your fantasy lineup and expect it. For now, Westbrook is just an exciting bench stash that could be a real difference-maker over the final seven weeks of the season—and potentially in the fantasy playoffs.
Dede Westbrook will not play in Week 9 after not being activated from IR before Saturday’s 4 PM deadline.
Westbrook was expected to make his NFL debut against the Bengals on Sunday, but he will now likely make it in Week 10. The fourth-round pick out of Oklahoma was a Heisman finalist last season, and he probably would have been at least a Day 2 pick if not for off-field concerns. Westbrook is worth a look in all fantasy leagues as the potential number-one option for Jacksonville down the stretch.
Dede Westbrook underwent core muscle surgery, the Jaguars announced.
This isn't a surprise, considering Westbrook was placed on IR after apparently worsening his injury in the team's fourth preseason game. The talented rookie is set to be out until Week 9 if he is designated to return off IR, but it's certainly possible Westbrook is out longer. When he does return, he could have a big role with Allen Robinson done for the year with a torn ACL. Westbrook probably isn't worth a bench spot in standard 10- or 12-team leagues, though, unless you have an IR spot and want to put him there.
The Jaguars placed WR Dede Westbrook on IR.
You had to expect something was up when Westbrook was already ruled out for Sunday's game. His core muscle injury is likely pretty serious, and he'll miss at least the first eight games of his season. Westbrook missed the third preseason game with this issue, but the then played in the fourth preseason game; so things might have gotten worse when he played. It looked like Westbrook could be a big contributor to open the season, but Jacksonville does have a deep receiving corps. Undrafted free agent Keelan Cole might be able to take hold of the third receiver job in Jacksonville behind Allen Robinson and Marqise Lee.
Dede Westbrook is out for Week 1 against the Texans.
The rookie receiver is dealing with a core muscle injury and it's a bit of a surprise he is already ruled out after playing in the team's final preseason game. We should get more word on this, and hopefully it's not something that will keep Westbrook out for an extended period of time.
Dede Westbrook goes off again in Jaguars' fourth preseason game.
Westbrook was dealing with a core injury that kept him out of the team's third preseason game, but he was back for the final week of the preseason and looked great, catching six-of-nine targets for 115 yards and a touchdown. The touchdown was a 43-yarder on a go route where he beat the corner deep. In three preseason games, Westbrook had 13 receptions for 288 yards and two touchdowns, including two touchdowns over 40 yards. The dynamic rookie from Oklahoma might be too good for the Jaguars to keep him off the field, and he might be the third receiver behind Allen Robinson and Marqise Lee.
Dede Westbrook practiced for the Jaguars today.
The rookie receiver sat out Jacksonville's third preseason game on Thursday night with a lower body injury, but he's already back at practice. It sounds like the Jags were being careful with Westbrook. He'll probably be playing on Thursday night in the Jaguars' preseason finale.
Dede Westbrook puts up huge numbers in second preseason game.
The Jaguars rookie receiver had six receptions on seven targets for 131 yards against the Buccaneers. He put up a stat line and showed some of the ability that made him a Heisman finalist during his time at Oklahoma, getting behind the defense and making tough catches. If Westbrook keeps his head on straight (he reportedly dropped in the draft because of character concerns), the Jaguars could end up with a steal. Westbrook might make an impact as a rookie this season for re-draft leagues, and he's obviously someone to roster in dynasty leagues.
Dede Westbrook catches touchdown in first career preseason game.
It was a 42-yard reception in the third quarter against New England. The touchdown was Westbrook's only reception of the game, but it showed his ability to get behind a defense with his speed. The former Heisman finalist Westbrook has a chance to emerge as a weapon in his rookie season.
The Jaguars select Oklahoma receiver Dede Westbrook with the 110th pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.
Westbrook had a monster final season at Oklahoma with 80 receptions for 1,524 yards and 16 touchdowns. Westbrook has 4.3 speed and can get behind the defense, but character concerns dropped him to the fourth round. He could turn out to be a steal if he keeps his head on straight and works hard. With Allen Robinson, Marqise Lee, and Allen Turns already at receiver for Jacksonville, Westbrook might not deliver fantasy value as a rookie.
