WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Dyami Brown | Commanders WR

Dyami Brown is dealing with a minor knee injury, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Brown will miss next week's game, but he could be good to go after that with Washington having a bye in Week 9. By that point, hopefully the offense will have all three of Curtis Samuel (groin), Logan Thomas (hamstring), and Brown in the lineup to add some upside behind Terry McLaurin.

Dyami Brown | Commanders WR

Dyami Brown (knee) ruled out for Week 5.

The rookie was unable to practice this week, and he'll miss Sunday's matchup against the Saints. Depending on the status of Curtis Samuel (groin), Washington could be very thin behind Terry McLaurin at wide receiver.

Dyami Brown | Commanders WR

Dyami Brown (knee) is out for the rest of today's game.

Brown was limping earlier, and now Washington has ruled him out for the rest of today's matchup with the Falcons. Before laving, Brown had one reception for 19 yards. Hopefully the rookie doesn't miss much more time after today.

Dyami Brown | Commanders WR

Washington has selected North Carolina wide receiver Dyami Brown with the No. 82 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Arguably the best pure deep threat in the 2021 class, Brown simply knows how to beat cornerbacks vertically—as evidenced by him averaging at least 20.0 yards per reception in each of the past two seasons. The concern for Brown is that he tested modestly for a player with his play style (4.46 40-yard dash), but that doesn’t mean he won’t be able to get past NFL coverage, and hopefully the deep ball is on point for Ryan Fitzpatrick in Washington. If he shows well early on, boom-or-bust FLEX value isn’t out of the question as a rookie while playing alongside Terry McLaurin and Curtis Samuel.
