WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Hunter Renfrow | Raiders WR

Hunter Renfrow (concussion) has officially been ruled out for the rest of tonight.

Renfrow took a hit to the head on a punt return in the third quarter, and he's now officially out after heading into the locker room to get evaluated. Before leaving, Renfrow had one reception for four yards. We hope he's feeling better soon, and he'll have nearly two weeks to get cleared for Week 16.

Hunter Renfrow finishes strong in Week 17 loss.

Renfrow—who had a 7/107/1 line in his return to the lineup last week—closed his rookie campaign with six catches, 102 yards, and one touchdown against the Broncos, and he was the open target on a would-be game-winning two-point conversation that was batted down at the line of scrimmage. Overall, Renfrow caught 49-of-71 targets for 605 yards and four touchdowns in 13 games this season, and he really became a factor at around midseason. Look for him to draw mid/late-round consideration in fantasy drafts over the summer.

Hunter Renfrow hits 100 yards in return for the Raiders.

After missing the previous three games with a rib injury that was expected to potentially keep him out for the rest of the season, Renfrow returned to the lineup with a bang, scoring an early 56-yard touchdown on a catch-and-run slant. Overall, Renfrow had seven receptions for 107 yards and a touchdown in the win over the Chargers, recording his first career 100-yard game. The Clemson product clearly has a lot of trust from Derrick Carr on underneath and intermediate routes, and he'll likely be in the FLEX mix for Week 17 with some teams resting players.

Hunter Renfrow is off the Week 16 injury report.

Renfrow has missed the last three games with his rib issue, but the rookie receiver is back for the Raiders. Renfrow is a definite boost for the Raiders in real life, but he's difficult to trust in fantasy lineups with championships on the line.

Jon Gruden told reporters that Hunter Renfrow (rib) may be done for the season.

As recently reported by NFL Network, the rookie has a punctured lung in addition to a broken rib, so more testing will determine whether or not he is done for the season. Renfrow had been becoming a bigger and bigger factor with 22 receptions, 281 yards, and two touchdowns over the past five games.

Hunter Renfrow is dealing with a broken rib and punctured lug, according to Ian Rapoport.

Rapoport says the timetable for a return is unclear, but it sounds like a multi-week absence is coming for the rookie, which is unfortunate. However, with Oakland in the playoff race and expected to be competitive through Week 17, we would guess that Renfrow should return in the regular season. In the interim, Darren Waller should see an increase in targets at tight end, and the Raiders will likely lean more on Zay Jones and others at receiver.

Hunter Renfrow (ribs) is questionable to return for the Raiders.

Renfrow has been taking some big hits today, and he's now out of the game with a rib injury. With the Raiders down by 31 points, it might be unlikely that the rookie receiver is able to return to today's game.

The Raiders have selected Clemson wide receiver Hunter Renfrow in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

College football fans know that Renfrow is a legend for catching the game-winning touchdown against Alabama in the 2017 College Football Playoff National Championship, and all he did was produce out of the slot for the Tigers over the past four years. In Oakland, Renfrow could eventually become a security blanket for Derek Carr, and PPR owners in particular should have Renfrow on their radar, as he was so reliable on third downs for Clemson that they called it “third-and-Renfrow.” There's a chance he starts right away between Antonio Brown and Tyrell Williams.
