WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Jake Fisher | Free Agent TE

The Bills released Jake Fisher.

The former offensive tackle making the switch to tight end will need to find another team, and it shouldn't be too difficult for teams intrigued by his blocking ability as a potential eligible receiver. The position switch won't be easy for Fisher, and the Bill don't see enough from him as a tight end yet to keep him on the 90-man roster right now.

The Bills are signing Jake Fisher.

A former second-round pick of the Bengals as an offensive tackle from Oregon, Fisher is making the position switch to tight end, and the Bills are giving him his opportunity there. As a former offensive lineman, Fisher should obviously be one of the better blocking tight ends in football, which could be enough to earn him a sizable role on offense; but it's difficult to envision much fantasy value in 2019.

Jake Fisher is switching to tight end, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The 2015 second-round pick as the Bengals as an offensive tackle, Fisher is reportedly down to 285 pounds as he looks to switch positions. Rapoport tweets that Fisher has "been running routes with current NFL QBs in Cali this offseason. Teams are intrigued and wanting to work him out." Fisher would obviously be more of a blocking tight end than a big-time receiving threat, so Fisher can be ignored for fantasy purposes for now. But it's an interesting situation.
