Jeremy McNichols | Titans RB

Jeremy McNichols (concussion) ruled out for Week 12.

McNichols will miss his second game in a row, so the Titans—having recently waived Adrian Peterson—will lean on D'Onta Foreman and Dontrell Hilliard as their top backs on Sunday. A.J. Brown (chest) has also been ruled out, which puts the offense in a very tough spot.

The Titans promoted Jeremy McNichols to the active roster.

With rookie Darrynton Evans out, McNichols will help provide depth behind reigning league-leading rusher Derrick Henry tonight against the Broncos.

The Titans are waiving Jeremy McNichols, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

McNichols recently signed in Tennessee, and he will be a candidate to stick around on the practice squad. Derrick Henry is fully expected to be given a monster workload—including expanded work in the passing game—this season.

The Titans are signing Jeremy McNichols.

Tennessee has a pretty inexperienced group behind 2019 league-leading rusher Derrick Henry, but McNichols has familiarity with the Titans after spending time with the team last year. McNichols is battling for one of the final rosters spots for the Titans.

The Jaguars signed Jeremy McNichols to the practice squad.

McNichols has been bouncing around the league a bit since being drafted in the fifth round in 2017, and he'll look to work his way onto the active roster in Jacksonville. The Boise State product does not need to be held in dynasty leagues right now.

The Bears signed Jeremy McNichols to the practice squad.

McNichols is still just 23 years old after getting drafted in 2017, and he's someone to keep an eye on in case he gets promoted to the active roster in Chicago after the Bears recently parted ways with Mike Davis. McNichols does not need to be owned in dynasty leagues right now, though.

Jeremy McNichols gets first career NFL carry in Week 4.

McNichols was drafted in the fifth round by the Buccaneers last season, but he didn't play a snap as a rookie and ended up on Indy's practice squad this year. He was just promoted to the active roster for this weekend and carried twice for four yards. The former Boise State running back is not a fantasy option yet.

The Colts are promoting Jeremy McNichols from the practice squad, according to Mike Garafolo.

As Garafolo states, this could be a bad sign for the status of Marlon Mack (hamstring) this week. The former fifth-round pick of the Bucs has yet to record an NFL carry, so perhaps he will get his first one on Sunday in Frank Reich's backfield committee. Still, McNichols isn't on the fantasy radar.

The Colts signed Jeremy McNichols to the practice squad.

McNichols was cut by the Niners earlier this month. He'll look to stick around on Indy's practice squad before working his way up to the 53-man roster. McNichols is off the fantasy radar.

The 49ers waived Jeremy McNichols.

This was expected after the team signed veteran Alfred Morris. McNichols will land somewhere else soon and might be claimed.

Jeremy McNichols | Titans RB

The 49ers signed rookie running back Jeremy McNichols to their practice squad.

McNichols was a fifth-round rookie out of Boise State selected by Tampa Bay, but he didn't make the cut with the Bucs. He'll be in a great system with Kyle Shanahan and will look to work his way onto the active roster for San Francisco.

Jeremy McNichols | Titans RB

The Buccaneers have waived fifth-round pick Jeremy McNichols, according to Mike Garafolo.

Anyone who watches 'Hard Knocks' could probably see that the rookie didn't have a great chance of making the roster, as he struggled both as a ball carrier and a pass blocker. McNichols will undoubtedly get another chance somewhere else, but he needs to do a better job picking up the mental side of the game. This probably means Peyton Barber made the team with Doug Martin suspended for the first three games of the season.

Jeremy McNichols struggles in preseason finale.

Anyone who watches 'Hard Knocks' knows that he blew a blocking assignment last week, and he did the same against Washington. Statistically, he rushed ten times for 36 yards and didn't catch a pass. A fifth-round pick, McNichols' roster spot isn't guaranteed, and he doesn't look like a fantasy contributor even if he makes the team.

Jeremy McNichols | Titans RB

Jeremy McNichols rushed twice for 12 yards in his preseason NFL debut last night.

The rookie has good receiving skills, but he did not record a reception. McNichols was drafted in the fifth round, so he probably needs to make some plays this preseason to solidify his roster spot. He, Charles Sims, and Peyton Barber are likely fighting for one or two roles behind Doug Martin and Jacquizz Rodgers.

Jeremy McNichols | Titans RB

The Buccaneers select Boise State running back Jeremy McNichols with the 162nd pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

McNichols is an athletic running back that ran a 4.49 40 and had a 35.5 inch vertical jump. He had great production in his final two seasons at Boise State. During his senior season, McNichols rushed for 1,709 yards and 23 touchdowns and caught 37 passes for 474 yards and four touchdowns. As a junior, he rushed for 1,337 yards and 20 touchdowns, along with 51 receptions for 460 yards and six touchdowns. McNichols is coming out as a true junior, probably because he feels he has the talent to play in the NFL. As a true freshman, he was redshirted because of the presence of Jay Ajayi at Boise State, but the redshirt was removed because McNichols was so good. He'll fill a backup role behind fellow Boise State alumni Doug Martin, with a chance to grow into a big role with Tampa. It's worth noting that Martin is suspended the first four games of the season, so perhaps McNichols will have a chance to get some more carries early in the season, and if he produces, he could become the primary backup to Martin.
