Jerry Jeudy | Broncos WR

The Broncos designated Jerry Jeudy (ankle) for return from injured reserve.

Juedy now has 21 days to be taken off injured reserve this season, which is just a formality at this point. The second-year receiver is getting close to a return, and he can be activated as early as Week 7. But keep in mind that Denver has a short week after tomorrow’s game, playing on Thursday night to kickoff next week. So Week 8 might be a more reasonable return date for Jeudy.

Jerry Jeudy | Broncos WR

Jerry Jeudy is dealing with a high-ankle sprain.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero says the X-rays on Jeudy's ankle were negative and that he's dealing with a high-ankle sprain. This is great to hear after an emotional Jeudy left today's Week 1 game on a cart. Jeudy will still be dealing with a multi-week injury, but at least this should not be close to a season-ender.

Jerry Jeudy carted off with apparent lower leg injury.

Jeudy appears to have suffered a serious ankle or leg injury, but hopefully it wasn't as bad as it appeared. K.J. Hamler and Tim Patrick will step up behind Courtland Sutton for the rest of the game, and an update on Jeudy should be provided soon.

Jerry Jeudy | Broncos WR

The Broncos have selected Alabama wide receiver Jerry Jeudy with the No. 15 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Reports about a knee issue (though it didn’t impact him at all in college) made Jeudy a candidate to slip a bit, but that didn’t really happen as the Broncos take him in the top 15. Overall, Jeudy is a smooth technician that can run any route in the book, and—perhaps as learned on the playground with childhood friend Lamar Jackson—he can make defenders look silly in the open field. If the 20-year-old can consistently get off the press as a rookie against NFL cornerbacks, he can quickly prove to be a No. 1 receiver for Denver or a 1B option alongside Courtland Sutton. Jeudy will be playing in a run-first offense, but he has the ability to become a FLEX option if all goes well in 2020. Jeudy's scouting report can be read in the link below.
