Jonathan Williams | Washington RB

Washington is signing Jonathan Williams to the active roster.

Williams had been on the Giants practice squad, but he'll now get a 53-man roster spot for another NFC East team. Washington already has J.D. McKissic and Jaret Patterson on the roster behind Antonio Gibson, so Williams should settle in as the No. 4 runner with a role on special teams.

The Lions released Jonathan Williams.

Williams might land back with Detroit on the practice squad, but he’s off the fantasy radar with two weeks remaining in the regular season.

Jonathan Williams | Washington RB

The Lions signed Jonathan Williams.

Williams was on Washington's practice squad, but he now joins the active roster for Detroit. The Lions are very deep at running back, and Williams is not a recommended fantasy pickup in standard-sized leagues.

The Lions released Jonathan Williams from the practice squad.

Detroit is very deep at running back, so Williams might ultimately land with a better spot for a path to playing time. Williams will look to land with another squad soon.

Jonathan Williams | Washington RB

The Lions are releasing Jonathan Williams, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Williams made a name for himself last year with the Colts in spot starts for Marlon Mack, but he is again looking for a new home with the Lions going with other options at running back. Kerryon Johnson and rookie D'Andre Swift should dominate touches in Detroit.

Jonathan Williams | Washington RB

The Lions signed Jonathan Williams.

Williams provides strong depth in the Detroit backfield, which was already a deep group. From a fantasy perspective, Williams is off the radar for now, but perhaps things will change if he makes the final roster.

Jonathan Williams | Washington RB

Jonathan Williams sees limited work in loss to the Titans.

Williams rushed eight times for 14 yards and caught one pass for 11 yards, working behind Jordan Wilkins (11 carries for 47 yards) and ceding two goal-line carries to Nyheim Hines (six touches for 40 yards and one touchdown). The Colts had said Williams could see another 20 attempts following back-to-back 100-yard games, but a full-blown timeshare broke out, and the most concerning part is that it was a close game throughout. Many fantasy owners spent a high waiver priority on Williams, but he's now droppable with Marlon Mack (hand) potentially returning for Week 14.

Jonathan Williams | Washington RB

Jonathan Williams' injury is a broken rib, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

While it's almost certainly still painful, it sounds like it's just one broken rib for Williams, and Rapoport says it's not a long-term injury. Williams will look to be ready to go for at least the fourth preseason game as he looks to make Indy's 53-man roster.

Jonathan Williams | Washington RB

Jonathan Williams (chest) is out for the rest of today’s preseason game.

This is unfortunate for Williams as he looks to make the Colts roster, but hopefully the injury isn’t too serious and he can play in the team’s third and fourth preseason games.

Jonathan Williams | Washington RB

The Saints released Jonathan Williams.

New Orleans promoted Dwayne Washington from the practice squad, and releasing Williams is a corresponding move. Williams re-established himself this summer and should receive opportunities elsewhere moving forward.

Jonathan Williams | Washington RB

Jonathan Williams handled two touches in Week 3 win.

Williams rushed once for one yard and caught a one-yard pass. The 24-year-old isn't a recommended fantasy option in the final game before Mark Ingram returns from suspension.

Jonathan Williams | Washington RB

Jonathan Williams gets one carry in Week 2.

Williams' lone touch against the Browns went for -1 yard. He's not a reliable fantasy option at the moment.

Jonathan Williams | Washington RB

Jonathan Williams gets one touch in Week 1.

Williams, who was promoted from the practice squad ahead of the game, received one carry and gained zero yards against the Buccaneers. After Mike Gillislee's fumble that was returned for a touchdown, Williams might be the second option behind Alvin Kamara in Week 2, but it's difficult to trust him in fantasy lineups.

Jonathan Williams | Washington RB

The Saints promoted Jonathan Williams to the 53-man roster.

Williams was a surprise cut by New Orleans after a solid preseason and was then signed to the practice squad, but he'll be on the roster for Week 1 and should receive some work on offense behind Alvin Kamara. He might be ahead of Mike Gillislee for the primary backup role because Gillislee has just spent a week with the team, but it's risky to insert Williams in Week 1 fantasy lineups.

Jonathan Williams | Washington RB

The Saints waived Jonathan Williams.

This is a surprise after the team recently release Terrance West. Now New Orleans has just Mark Ingram (suspended four games), Alvin Kamara, and Boston Scott in the backfield, so they are almost certainly going to add another running back soon. Williams played well throughout the summer, so maybe the Saints are trying to squeeze him past waivers before re-signing him.

Jonathan Williams | Washington RB

The Saints signed running back Jonathan Williams.

Williams was a surprise cut by the Bills after the preseason, and the Broncos brought him onto their practice squad; but now the Saints are bringing him on their active roster. Williams will fill in behind Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara in New Orleans' backfield, but he won't be fantasy option if they remain healthy.

Jonathan Williams | Washington RB

The Broncos are signing RB Jonathan Williams to their practice squad, according to Ian Rapoport.

Williams is reportedly getting a $510,000 salary to join the Broncos. It's quite the salary, which could mean there were a lot of teams interested in bringing him on their practice squad. After he was a surprise cut by the Bills, Williams will see if he can get an opportunity in Denver to get back on an active roster. He's OK as a bench stash in dynasty leagues if you're looking for guys to roster.

Jonathan Williams | Washington RB

The Bills have released running back Jonathan Williams.

This is as big as surprise as any, as Williams looked good this preseason and is just 23-year-old, but Buffalo is going with Mike Tolbert as the number-two behind LeSean McCoy. This should lock McCoy into a monster workload, even on a team that doesn't expect to contend.

Jonathan Williams | Washington RB

Jonathan Williams rushes for 21-yard touchdown in preseason finale.

Williams rushed 10 times for 53 yards and the score, getting the start with LeSean McCoy and the other starters resting. The 23-year-old has been really impressive this preseason, and he probably will get some work behind Shady in the regular season. He's an intriguing name to keep on your bench as handcuff, especially in what figures to be a lost season for Buffalo.

Jonathan Williams | Washington RB

Jonathan Williams rushed seven times for 29 yards in Buffalo's second preseason game.

Williams spelled LeSean McCoy—who played longer than expected—with the first-team offense, and he will open the season as a change-of-pace for the workhorse back. The 23-year-old isn't getting a lot of recognition right now, but he would be worth a late-round pick in fantasy drafts as an underrated handcuff.

Jonathan Williams | Washington RB

Jonathan Williams plays well in opening preseason game for Buffalo.

Williams had four carries for 39 yards, including a 17-yard run. The second-year back ran hard as he looks to lock up the number two running back job behind LeSean McCoy the Bills.

Jonathan Williams rushed three times for 12 yards in Sunday's win.

The rookie has no standalone value without an injury to LeSean McCoy. Williams can stay on the waiver wire outside of dynasty leagues.

Jonathan Williams | Washington RB

Jonathan Williams rushed four times for 26 yards and caught one pass for no gain in Sunday’s win.

The rookie saw five touches thanks to LeSean McCoy leaving with a thumb injury, but Mike Gillislee was the clear leader in the backfield. Williams did look good on limited touches, but with McCoy looking probably for Week 12, Williams doesn’t need to be rostered.
