WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Josh Oliver | Ravens TE

The Jaguars are trading Josh Oliver to the Ravens, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Oliver—the No. 69 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft—has struggled to get on the field due to injuries, and he will now get a fresh start with Baltimore. Consistent fantasy value will be difficult to come by behind Mark Andrews, but in general, this is a good landing spot for Oliver to rebuild his value. He will turn 24 later this month.

The Jaguars have placed Josh Oliver (foot) on injured reserve.

Oliver will have surgery on his broken foot, which could knock him out for the entire season. The second-year tight end has had trouble staying healthy to start his career, but hopefully he can eventually get on the field and make a difference for a young Jacksonville team.

Josh Oliver broke a bone in his foot.

It's a tough break for the No. 69 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, as he appeared in just four games as a rookie due to injuries and will now again be facing an extended absence entering his second season. With the 23-year-old out of the lineup, Tyler Eifert will be locked in as the team's starter and should carry some touchdown upside in Jay Gruden's offense.

Josh Oliver (back) will miss a few weeks, according to Ian Rapoport.

Rapoport says that the rookie suffered small fractures in his back, and it's possible the injury lands him on injured reserve this late in the season. Jacksonville's third-round pick has just three receptions this season, but there was hope that he would breakout in the second half with Nick Foles back under center. Oliver is just a dynasty hold right now.

Josh Oliver (back) is questionable to return for the Jaguars.

The Jaguars have struggled offensively today, and Oliver has just one reception for five yards. Hopefully the rookie tight end is able to return to the field soon.

Josh Oliver (hamstring) is officially active for Week 7.

Not only is Oliver active, but the third-round rookie is starting at tight end in his first career NFL game. Oliver is certainly someone to keep an eye on at a shallow position, but he's not immediately a recommended fantasy option. The fact that he's starting does indicate Jacksonville could immediately have a big role for him, though.

Josh Oliver (hamstring) has officially been ruled out for Week 1.

Oliver has dealt with a hamstring issue for a while now, and he didn't practice all week, so his NFL debut will wait. None of Jacksonville's tight ends are recommended holds in redraft leagues at the moment.

Josh Oliver | Ravens TE

The Jaguars have selected San Jose State tight end Josh Oliver with the No. 69 pick (third round) in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Oliver received playing time all four seasons at San Jose State, but he received his most time on the field as a senior, catching 56 passes for 709 yards and four touchdowns. Oliver (six-foot-five, 249 pounds) tested well at the combine, running a 4.63 40 with a 34-inch vertical jump. He has the potential to develop into a No. 1 tight end for the Jaguars, but he’s not likely to be a big-time fantasy option in a run-heavy offense in 2019.
