WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Justin Watson | Buccaneers WR

Justin Watson has been designated to return from the PUP list.

Watson would provide more depth at wide receiver if he's eventually activated, but his main contributions would likely come on special teams. Tampa Bay currently has Tyler Johnson, Scotty Miller, and Breshad Perriman as the main wideouts behind Chris Godwin and Mike Evans with Antonio Brown serving his three-game suspension.

Justin Watson | Buccaneers WR

Justin Watson (knee) is expected to miss four months.

Watson had a procedure on his knee, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. This is tough luck for someone that might be on the roster bubble, but Watson will look to get healthy and potentially contribute during the regular season. From a fantasy perspective, Watson is off the redraft radar.

Justin Watson | Buccaneers WR

Justin Watson (shoulder) has been ruled out for Week 5.

Watson being down along with Chris Godwin (hamstring) leaves the Buccaneers thin behind Mike Evans and Scotty Miller (both of whom are questionable), and rookie Tyler Johnson could see increased playing time against Chicago.

Justin Watson | Buccaneers WR

Justin Watson held without a catch in Week 13 win.

The rookie was targeted once. Watson is just a dynasty prospect that's blocked by Adam Humphries right now.

Justin Watson | Buccaneers WR

Justin Watson catches first career pass in loss to the Bengals.

It was a five-yard reception on his only target. The rookie is blocked by Adam Humphries in the slot, but he's an intriguing dynasty prospect.

Justin Watson | Buccaneers WR

The Buccaneers have selected Penn wide receiver Justin Watson with the 144th pick (fifth round) of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Tampa Bay is loaded offensively, and they add another versatile option with the Penn product. Watson has good size at nearly six-foot-three with 4.4 speed, but he profiles as a solid slot receiver at the next level. The Bucs could be set with weapons for Jameis Winston for the next decade with Mike Evans and Chris Godwin on the outside, Cameron Brate and O.J. Howard at tight end, and Watson in the slot. He probably won’t get much of an opportunity with DeSean Jackson and Adam Humphries on the roster in 2018, though.
