Kenneth Dixon | Free Agent RB

The Jets waived Kenneth Dixon.

The Jets have a deep running back group especially after adding veteran Frank Gore, so they are moving on from Dixon. Injuries have derailed things a bit for Dixon throughout his career, but he should land with a new team soon.

The Jets signed Kenneth Dixon.

Dixon was placed on injured reserve by the Ravens at the end of August, but he's now getting his first opportunity to potentially play in 2019 with the Jets. Dixon is not a recommended fantasy pickup, but hopefully he's able to stay healthy and on the field into 2020 and beyond.

Kenneth Dixon | Free Agent RB

The Ravens have placed Kenneth Dixon on injured reserve.

Dixon wouldn't have been any better than Baltimore's No. 4 back this year, as Justice Hill and Gus Edwards are going to rotate in behind Mark Ingram. The 25-year-old is losing value in dynasty leagues despite averaging 4.8 yards per carry so far in his career.

Kenneth Dixon handles nine touches in playoff loss.

Dixon rushed six times for 13 yards and caught three passes for 53 yards. He also lost a fumble in the first half that set up a Los Angeles field goal. The Ravens went to more of a split between starter Gus Edwards and Dixon down the stretch, and it will be interesting to see if they roll with the same combo in 2019. For now, Dixon can be considered a decent late-round selection in fantasy drafts next year.

Kenneth Dixon goes over 100 yards in win over the Browns.

Dixon rushed 12 times for 117 yards, also adding a two-yard reception. The 24-year-old ended up splitting the carries evenly with Gus Edwards (12 carries for 76 yards), and the two will likely keep working in tandem for the playoffs. As for the regular season, Dixon rushed 60 times for 333 yards (5.6 YPC) and two touchdowns in six appearances, also chipping in six receptions for 51 yards. Baltimore takes on the Chargers next Sunday.

Kenneth Dixon handles ten touches in win over the Chargers.

Dixon rushed eight times for 28 yards, also adding two receptions for 20 yards. Baltimore's No. 2 back also lost a costly fumble at the start of the second half that led to a Los Angeles touchdown, but the Ravens fortunately answered right back with a long touchdown pass. Dixon should remain involved in a change-of-pace capacity to Gus Edwards next week, so he'll be a decent FLEX option.

Kenneth Dixon gets 12 touches against the Buccaneers.

Dixon carried 11 times for 48 yards and caught one pass for two yards in the Ravens' Week 15 victory. Dixon ran the ball well, but it was Gus Edwards that again led Baltimore's backfield. Dixon is more of a deeper-league FLEX option entering fantasy championships.

Kenneth Dixon scores in Week 14.

Dixon carried eight times for 59 yards and a touchdown along with one reception for 21 yards versus the Chiefs. It was a strong showing for the third-year running back, as he showed solid explosiveness and gashed Kansas City's defense. Averaging 4.8 yards per carry on 29 attempts this season, there's a chance Dixon's role increases moving forward. He's worth a look as an add if he's available in your league.

Kenneth Dixon gets nine touches return to the field.

Dixon carried eight times for 37 yards and added one reception for six yards against the Falcons. The team was clearly excited to get him back after he missed the last ten games while on injured reserve with a knee injury, and he received a good number of touches in his first game back. Gus Edwards is the running back to own in Baltimore's backfield, but Dixon appears to have immediately taken the No. 2 role.

The Ravens officially activated running back Kenneth Dixon.

Dixon was designated to return from injured reserve on November 16, and he's now being activated while the team sends Alex Collins to injured reserve. Collins practiced fully yesterday while dealing with his foot injury, so this could indicate the Ravens preferred to roll with Dixon as a change-of-pace option in the backfield moving forward for the rest of this season—or perhaps Collins just isn't really 100% so he's being shut down. Dixon is worth a look as a fantasy pickup in deeper leagues, but Gus Edwards is likely to keep control of Baltimore's backfield.

Kenneth Dixon (knee) has been designated to return from injured reserve.

Dixon, who was injured in Week 1, now has 21 days to practice before he must be activated to the 53-man roster or spend the rest of the season on injured reserve. Dixon has played in just one game since 2016, so it'd be great to see him back on the field in 2018. However, he's not a recommended fantasy pickup in a crowded Ravens backfield, as Alex Collins, Javorius Allen, Ty Montgomery, and Gus Edwards all might be ahead of him on the depth chart even if/when he's activated.

Kenneth Dixon (knee) has been placed on injured reserve.

After it was known that Dixon would miss several weeks with a knee injury, it was only a matter of time before this move was made. Unfortunately, Dixon has had trouble staying healthy, as the last two seasons have been ended by knee injuries. He didn't appear in any games last year before being placed on IR, so this makes it just one game since 2016 for Dixon.

Kenneth Dixon (knee) is out "indefinitely" according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Dixon is obviously out for tomorrow night's game against the Bengals, and it sounds like he'll be out for at least the rest of the month. Alex Collins and Javorius Allen will handle nearly all of the backfield work for Baltimore moving forward. It's possible Dixon hits injured reserve soon.

Kenneth Dixon limped off at the end of yesterday's win against the Bills.

Dixon is apparently dealing with a knee injury, but the extent of the injury is unclear. It's unfortunate for Dixon, who has struggled to stay healthy throughout his career. Hopefully it's not too serious and Dixon can get back on the field soon.

Kenneth Dixon | Free Agent RB

Kenneth Dixon scores in Ravens' win.

Dixon received a good amount of work in Baltimore's blowout victory, carrying 13 times for 44 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown. Alex Collins' lost fumble could potentially open the door for more work for Dixon, who was a guy that's battled injuries but the Ravens have been high on. He isn't a reliable fantasy option for Week 2, though.

Ravens RB Kenneth Dixon is suspended two more games.

Because Dixon is on Injured Reserve with a torn meniscus, this doesn't really matter. But the original four-game suspension was for PEDs and this additional two games is for substance abuse, according to Ian Rapoport. It won't affect Dixon unless he gets suspended again, and he'll have a clean slate for 2018 as he will almost certainly be 100% recovered from his torn meniscus.

Ravens running back Kenneth Dixon is out for the season, according to Ian Rapoport.

The second-year back had surgery on his meniscus today, and he had to have it fully repaired instead of trimmed. This is a really tough break for both Dixon and the Ravens. Terrance West is now fully locked into the early-down role for Baltimore, with Danny Woodhead as the passing down back. Woohead could also chip in for more work on early downs, but West could push for 15-20+ carries per game. Look for West's ADP to rise over the next several weeks. It's also possible the team brings in another veteran back such as Ryan Mathews, if and when he is released by the Eagles. As for Dixon, while his season is over before it starts, full meniscus repairs are considered better long-term than trims, so Dixon will look to get 100% for next season.

Ravens running back Kenneth Dixon has a meniscus tear, according to Ian Rapoport.

Dixon will get surgery, and they won't know the extent of the injury until he gets in there, but Rapoport says the "hope" is it's just at trim of the meniscus. So the timeline for recovery won't be known until Dixon has the surgery, and it's possible he misses the entire preseason. Dixon is already suspended for the first four games of the season for PEDs, so he's likely going to face an uphill battle for playing time when he returns in Week 5 if he does indeed miss most of the preseason. Terrance West has a chance to run away with the early-down role throughout the preseason and first four weeks of the regular season, though the Ravens do really like Dixon.

Kenneth Dixon | Free Agent RB

Kenneth Dixon will be suspended for the first four-game of 2017, according to Adam Schefter.

Dixon violated the NFL's PED policy, and it couldn't have come at a worse time. The second-year back was expected to have a chance to become the lead-dog in Baltimore, but the Ravens are much more likely to find another option in free agency or through the draft. Dixon's roster spot should be safe, but his role is completely up in the air.

Kenneth Dixon rushed 10 times for 44 yards and one touchdown in Sunday's loss to the Bengals.

Dixon again outplayed Terrance West, which was so often the case down the stretch. The rookie finishes the season with 88 rushes for 382 yards (4.3 yards per carry) and two touchdowns, also catching 30-of-41 targets for 162 yards and another score. Dixon should open 2017 as the starter and will be worth a look as an RB2/FLEX.

Kenneth Dixon | Free Agent RB

Kenneth Dixon rushed 12 times for 57 yards in Sunday's loss to the Steelers.

Dixon showed excellent strength and balance as he often has in the second half of the season, but passing-down work has been ceded to fullback Kyle Juszczyk in recent weeks, so the rookie caught just one pass for one yard. Dixon will finish his season next week against the Bengals; he'll be a good FLEX option.

Kenneth Dixon | Free Agent RB

Kenneth Dixon scores against the Eagles.

Dixon had nine carries for 36 yards and a touchdown for the Ravens. The touchdown was a 16-yarder for Dixon. He was targeted one time in the passing game and fellow running back Terrance West had 17 touches compared to Dixon's nine. They're both FLEX options in an unpredictable backfield.

Kenneth Dixon | Free Agent RB

Kenneth Dixon takes control of Ravens' backfield, plays great on Monday Night Football.

Dixon handled almost all of the work out of the Ravens' backfield, getting 11 carries for 39 yards and eight catches for 42 yards and a touchdown. Dixon showed tremendous ability to break tackles and get positive yardage on almost every play. There was not great run blocking for him, but he grinded out his yardage. Terrance West got only two carries behind Dixon, so Dixon clearly leads this backfield. He'll be a good RB2/FLEX next week against Philadelphia.

Kenneth Dixon | Free Agent RB

Kenneth Dixon gets 10 touches in Week 13.

Dixon had six carries for 56 yards and four catches for 21 yards. He had a long of 17 yards on the ground. Terrance West scored a touchdown, but Dixon has outperformed him on the ground recently and if given a bigger role could become a great FLEX option.

Kenneth Dixon | Free Agent RB

Kenneth Dixon leads Baltimore's backfield committee.

Dixon rushed 13 times for 49 yards and caught four passes for 31 yards. The rookie has been impressive this season when he's been on the field. His backfield mate Terrance West gained one less yard on the same amount of carries this week, and Dixon seems to be the leader of the committee now. He is on at least the FLEX radar next week versus Miami.

Kenneth Dixon | Free Agent RB

Kenneth Dixon looks good in Week 11 versus Cowboys.

Dixon had six carries for 40 yards, including a long of 20 yards. Dixon has looked explosive the past couple of weeks and will almost certainly get more work in the coming weeks. He should be a decent FLEX option next week against Cincinnati.

Kenneth Dixon | Free Agent RB

Dixon impresses on Thursday Night Football.

The rookie back totaled 80 yards on 10 touches, rushing 6 times for 38 yards and catching 5 passes for 42 yards. Dixon showed good vision and the ability to break arm tackles. If Terrance West continues to struggle, it would not be surprising to see Dixon become the starter. The rookie will have FLEX value next week against the Cowboys.
