WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Kenneth Farrow | Free Agent RB

The Dolphins signed running back Kenneth Farrow.

Farrow was most recently with the San Antonio Commanders of the AAF, but new Dolphins head coach Brian Flores and offensive coordinator Chris O'Shea know him after he spent time with the Patriots last year. The 26-year-old had a 142-yard performance (on 30 carries) and won AAF Offensive Player of the Week during his time in the now-defunct league. He has a shot to carve out a roster spot and a role with a new coaching staff in Miami looking to have guys earn their spots.

Kenneth Farrow has signed with the Patriots practice squad, according to multiple reports.

Farrow was with New England earlier this year, so a return makes sense for the 25-year-old. He hasn't appeared in a game since 2016 with the Chargers, but perhaps Farrow will find his way onto the active roster at some point. Right now, he can be ignored for fantasy purposes.

The Patriots waived Kenneth Farrow.

Farrow joined the team very late in the summer, and New England has a crowded backfield, so this was expected to happen. Now healthy, the 25-year-old should receive interest from other teams.

The Patriots signed running back Kenneth Farrow.

Farrow is a 2016 undrafted free agent that impressed with the Chargers as a rookie before spending last season on injured reserve. It'll be tough for Farrow to crack New England's 53-man roster so late in the process, but perhaps he can carve out a role on the practice squad.

The Chargers have waived running back Kenneth Farrow.

Farrow was an undrafted free agent in 2016 that make an impact with 73 touches in 13 games, but an ankle injury suffered last preseason caused him to miss all of the 2017 season. The 25-year-old should sign with a team and get a chance to make a roster in training camp as a third- or fourth-string option this summer. As for the Chargers, they still have Austin Ekeler and Andre Williams behind Melvin Gordon, but they could potentially draft another compliment for their starter in a couple weeks.

Kenneth Farrow | Free Agent RB

Kenneth Farrow rushed twice for 15 yards in Sunday night's game against the Seahawks.

Farrow started the final two games of 2016 when Melvin Gordon went down, but he recorded just 67 yards on 24 attempts (2.79 yards per carry) and did not score. With Branden Oliver healthy behind Gordon, Farrow doesn't have fantasy value to start the season.

Kenneth Farrow was placed on Injured Reserve by the Chargers.

It's for a shoulder injury that Farrow has been dealing with all season. With one game to go, they'll shut him down. This could mean that Melvin Gordon could return this Sunday. The undrafted rookie Farrow ends his rookie season with 60 carries for 192 yards. He will likely have to compete for a running back spot in training camp next year.

Farrow carried nine times for 28 yards in the road loss to the Browns.

He added four catches on four targets for 29 yards. The rookie RB had a big opportunity today vs the NFL’s worst run defense, but it was for naught as the Chargers found themselves playing from behind and with 46 pass-attempts by Rivers, the running game was never given much of a chance to succeed. The Chargers offensive line isn’t doing anything well right now, and every element of the Chargers offense is suffering for it. Nevertheless, against a defense that most RBs could reach 3.1 YPC rather easily, it was a disappointing game for the Chargers’ rookie.

Farrow carried 15 times for 39 yards and added two catches for 14 yards in the home loss to the Raiders

This was a big opportunity for the first year running back, but his longest run went for six yards and he commit a costly turnover in the 4th quarter. He split snaps with Ronnie Hillman and while no one expected great things, he underperformed and is not a reliable fantasy play. If Melvin Gordon misses next week there is a chance that he produces a better result at Cleveland, but there are better options out there.

Filling in for an injured Melvin Gordon, Farrow carried the ball 16 times for 55 yards in the road loss at Carolina in week 14. He also added six catches for 23 yards.

After season-long work as a minimal usage RB, the University of Houston product served in long-relief today after the loss of Melvin Gordon in the 1st quarter. The UDFA worked hard for every yard, as is his style, and stepped in admirably. His six catches were on six targets, and showed he can be reliable as a checkdown out-of-the-backfield as well. It looks like Gordon’s injury won’t be season-ending, but it would be advisable to add Farrow to your lineup as long as he’s the starter. The Charger offense runs primarily through the RB position, and Farrow showed he can be counted on. He'll be a solid RB2/FLEX option against the Raiders next week.
