WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Ke’Shawn Vaughn | Buccaneers RB

Ke'Shawn Vaughn (chest) has return for the Bucs.

FOX reporter Erin Andrews said that Vaughn was going to try to play through the chest injury, and he is indeed out there early in the second half for Tampa Bay.

Ke’Shawn Vaughn | Buccaneers RB

Ke'Shawn Vaughn (chest) is officially questionable to return for the Buccaneers.

Vaughn took a huge hit to the chest at the end of the first half, and now it'll be a ton of Ronald Jones for as long as Vaughn remains out. Leonard Fournette, who is active for emergency situations, could also get some work now if Jones needs a breather.

The Buccaneers activated Ke'Shawn Vaughn from reserve/COVID-19.

The third-round rookie running back can now join the backfield mix for Tampa Bay, but veteran LeSean McCoy is now also in the group as a potential primary third-down back. With a COVID-impacted offseason, Vaughn might be facing an uphill climb to make a big impact as a rookie, but he's still someone to keep an eye on this summer.

The Buccaneers placed Ke'Shawn Vaughn on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Vaughn either has the coronavirus or came in close contact with someone that has it. This isn't ideal for the rookie as he looks to get early quality snaps in a Tom Brady-led offense, but hopefully the third-round pick is able to get cleared soon.

The Buccaneers have selected Ke'Shawn Vaughn with the No. 76 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Vaughn is a north-south slasher coming off back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons for Vanderbilt, and he could immediately challenge Ronald Jones for the lead role in 2020. That said, the incumbent showed flashes last season, so this could come down to whoever Tom Brady trusts more in pass protection and as an underneath outlet as a receiver. The running back situation for Tampa Bay will obviously be one to watch closely this summer.
