The Buccaneers have selected Florida quarterback Kyle Trask with the No. 64 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
An accurate pocket passer that throws with impressive touch and ball placement, Trask started two seasons for the Gators—completing 67.9% of his passes for 7,386 yards, 69 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions. Limitations in terms of arm strength and athleticism (along with some concerns about turnovers) pushed Trask to Day 2, but he proved to be a very capable distributor for Kyle Pitts and Kadarius Toney in 2020. The Bucs should immediately feel good about him as their No. 2 quarterback behind Tom Brady, with a chance to eventually take over whenever the G.O.A.T. moves on. Trask is obviously in a good spot to be able to learn from Brady. Trask’s full scouting report can be viewed in the link below.
