Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

The Jaguars officially re-signed Laquon Treadwell.

This was expected after Treadwell flashed as a perimeter receiving option for Trevor Lawrence last season. Now playing for a new coaching staff under Doug Pederson, Treadwell will look to win a big role on the outside this summer. The former first-round pick of the Vikings is someone to watch in deeper dynasty leagues.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

The Jaguars released Laquon Treadwell.

Treadwell had a solid summer, but the Jaguars are going in another direction at receiver to open their 53-man roster. The former first-round pick might land back with the Jaguars practice squad as receiver depth, but there might be other teams interested in adding him to an active roster.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

The Jaguars have signed Laquon Treadwell, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

Treadwell recently tried out for Jacksonville, and he showed enough to get a deal. The Jags have prioritized bigger wideouts on the outside for the most part, which fits well with Trevor Lawrence's game. The former first-rounder Treadwell turned 26 earlier this week.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

The Falcons activated Laquan Treadwell from the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Treadwell has also been added to the 53-man roster, so the former first-round pick could get a nice opportunity here down the stretch. Treadwell is not a highly recommended fantasy pickup in redraft leagues, but hopefully he can stay healthy and produce for the Falcons.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

The Falcons placed Laquon Treadwell on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

This happens as Atlanta returns from its bye week, so hopefully it's a situation where this didn't involve any teammates being affected. If Treadwell does have the virus (as opposed to just coming in close contact to someone with it), hopefully he's feeling better soon.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

The Falcons are signing Laquon Treadwell to the practice squad.

Treadwell was with the Falcons during training camp, so this is a good spot for him. The former first-round pick of the Vikings has familiarity with Atlanta already, and he can sit and watch an excellent group of receivers including the all-time great Julio Jones. Treadwell is off the redraft radar until he at least gets promoted to the active roster.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

The Falcons have released Laquon Treadwell, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Treadwell was hoping to get his career on track with Atlanta after four seasons in Minnesota, but it didn't happen. The former first-round pick is still young (he turned 25 over the summer), so we'll see if he can land elsewhere and potentially stick around. Russell Gage is locked in as the Falcons' No. 3 receiver behind Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

The Falcons are signing Laquon Treadwell, according to multiple reports.

Treadwell played four seasons with the Vikings after he was selected in the first round in 2016, catching 65 passes for 701 yards and two touchdowns. Despite some brief flashes, things just didn't work out for Treadwell in Minnesota, but the Ole Miss product lands in a good spot as a potential third receiver behind Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley. The change in scenery could spark Treadwell, who turns just 25 years old this June, in the second act of his NFL career.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

The Vikings are re-signing Laquon Treadwell, according to ESPN.

It's surprising no other team signed the former first-round pick, but he lands back with the team that drafted him after being cut at the end of August. Treadwell is still just 24 years old and enters an offense he's comfortable with, but he's not a recommended fantasy pickup in a run-heavy attack.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

The Vikings cut Laquon Treadwell.

Minnesota was trying to move Treadwell via a trade, but there were no takers, and the 2016 first-round pick's Vikings career ends after three seasons. Treadwell had a tough time establishing himself as a top playmaker for the Vikings while Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen stepped up, but he's still just 24 years old and should certainly draw a lot of interest from the 31 other teams despite no one biting on a trade. His dynasty value probably depends on where he lands.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

The Vikings declined to exercise Laquon Treadwell’s fifth-year option.

This isn’t a surprise because it would lock Treadwell into the fifth year of his deal based on injury only, so they can always simply decide to re-sign him after the season if a breakout occurs behind Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen. A trade is also a possibility to see if a change of scenery does the former first-round pick good.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell catches one pass in Week 17 loss.

It went for seven yards. Treadwell wasn't able to make the leap in his third NFL season, but his 35 receptions for 302 yards and one touchdown all ended up being career-highs. A change of scenery might be best for the Ole Miss product, as he's blocked by Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen in Minnesota.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell catches three passes in Week 14.

Treadwell gained 16 yards on his three reception against the Seahawks, including a nice smoke route where he threw a stiff-arm for positive yardage. The former first-round pick doesn't get enough targets to make him a strong option in fantasy lineups right now.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell catches two passes in Week 13.

Treadwell gained 13 yards on his two receptions against the Patriots. The former first-round pick doesn't get enough targets to warrant strong consideration in fantasy lineups right now.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell catches one pass in Vikings’ win.

Treadwell gained six yards on his lone reception versus the Packers. He had a drop on a slant route, but he didn’t appear to dwell on it, which is good to see. The former first-round pick isn’t a recommended fantasy option right now.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell held to one catch in Week 11 loss.

It went for seven yards. The former first-round pick simply isn't a big part of the offense as the No. 3 receiver behind Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs, but optimistically, he has at least one reception in every game this season. Treadwell will look to make an impact next Sunday night in a huge game against the Packers, who he scored his only touchdown of the season against in Week 2.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell leads the Vikings in Week 9 receiving.

Treadwell caught passes of 22 yards and 15 yards, and he had two receptions for 37 yards overall versus Detroit. The third-year receiver isn't a recommended fantasy option right now, but it's good to see him play well in a big NFC North game.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell caught three passes for 25 yards in Sunday's loss to the Saints.

Treadwell made a couple nice grabs, but he had a key third down deflected out of his hands by Marshon Lattimore. The Ole Miss product has already set career-highs across the board with 25 receptions for 216 yards and one touchdown through eight games, but hopefully he can really emerge down the stretch to give Minnesota another weapon.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell catches three passes in Vikings' win.

Treadwell gained 11 yards on his three receptions against the Jets, catching all three of his targets. The former first-round pick isn't seeing enough targets to be a highly-recommended fantasy option right now.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell caught four passes for 38 yards in Sunday's win over the Cardinals.

Treadwell hauled in all four of his targets in the victory, as he continues to hold off Aldrick Robinson (zero receptions on one target) for No. 3 receiver duties. The former first-round pick isn't a recommended fantasy option behind Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs, but he could turn into a significant factor if one of them ever misses time. Treadwell will look to make an impact against the Jets next week.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell catches three passes in Week 5.

Treadwell showed strong hands against the Eagles, and he gained 21 yards on his three receptions. The former first-round pick remains the clear No. 3 receiver for the Vikings, but he's difficult to trust in fantasy lineups.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell catches four passes in Week 4.

Treadwell's seven targets were third on the team behind Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen. He showed some inconsistencies with his hands, but the former first-round pick made some big plays with the Vikings attempting to stage a comeback late in the game. Treadwell had four receptions for 47 yards, with a long of 19 yards, in the loss. Meanwhile, Aldrick Robinson scored twice on his two receptions, and Treadwell could be pushed more moving forward.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell caught four passes for 33 yards in Sunday's loss to Buffalo.

Treadwell continues to operate as a top-three receiver alongside Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen, but Minnesota struggled offensively in a 27-6 defeat against the Bills. The former first-round pick will look to make some plays on Thursday night against the Rams, but he isn't a recommended fantasy option.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell scores in Week 2 tie.

Treadwell caught a 14-yard touchdown in the first quarter, but he finished with just two receptions for 23 yards as he struggled with drops for the rest of the game. The former first-round pick has the talent to become a significant factor behind Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen, but he needs to show consistency to be considered a reliable fantasy option.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell catches two passes in Week 1.

The third-year receiver worked as the clear No. 3 receiver for Minnesota, drawing four targets from Kirk Cousins in the game. Treadwell caught two passes for 18 yards, including a 16-yard reception in which he showed strong hands and turned up the field for positive yards after the catch. As likely the fifth or sixth option on Minnesota's offense, it's difficult to trust Treadwell in fantasy lineups. He's a better real-life contributor for the Vikings.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Mike Zimmer says Laquon Treadwell "needs to get out of his own way."

The first-round pick in the 2016 draft has 21 receptions in two seasons with the Vikings, and it sounds like he might be thinking too much instead of just playing freely. Zimmer says Treadwell is "a guy that works extremely hard, probably doesn't do things the right way all of the time. We'll be in training camp and he'll run the stadium steps at night, which is not helping him for practice the next day." Clearly, lack of effort is not the cause of the lack of production for the former Ole Miss star, which gives a lot of hope that he'll be able to turn things around. Treadwell will only turn 23 in June, so he's younger than some of the rookies in this year's draft (including Alabama's Calvin Ridley). No one should be counting Treadwell out after two seasons, as plenty of receivers (like Jordy Nelson, Demaryius Thomas, and Nelson Agholor) have taken time to click and become excellent NFL players. However, fantasy-wise, Treadwell might struggle to put up big numbers in a crowded offense that includes two Pro Bowl receivers (Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs) ahead of him on the depth chart.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell held without a catch in playoff loss.

Treadwell split time with Jarius Wright as the team's third receiver in the NFC Championship like he did for most of the season, but it didn't lead to any production. The former first-round pick could still make a third-year leap in 2018, but it will be tough to turn into a reliable fantasy option with Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs healthy. Treadwell is a hold in dynasty leagues, but he isn't worth drafting in redraft formats next summer.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell catches three passes against Chicago.

Treadwell gained 16 yards on his three receptions. The second-year receiver's regular season ends with 20 receptions for 200 yards. He has the ability to make some big plays for Minnesota, so we'll see if he makes a big impact or makes some big plays in the postseason.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell gets two targets in Vikings' win.

Treadwell didn't catch any passes, but he was targeted on a pass deep down the field that he and Case Keenum couldn't quite connect on. The 2016 first-rounder isn't a fantasy option right now, but he remains a dynasty-league hold.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell caught two passes for 23 yards in Sunday's loss to Carolina.

Treadwell made a nice reaching catch over the middle when Minnesota was in the midst of a comeback, but he also committed a drop on a similar play later in the game. The 2016 first-round pick only needs to be owned in dynasty leagues.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell catches nine-yard pass in Week 13 win.

It was his only reception of the game, but converted a huge third down in the 14-9 victory. Treadwell path to production looks murky with Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs ahead of him, but he remains a hold in dynasty leagues. He probably won't be a factor in the fantasy playoffs.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell caught two passes for 10 yards in Sunday's win over the Rams.

Treadwell is still looking for his first career touchdown, and he isn't seeing enough playing time to be a redraft option with Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs ahead of him. The Vikings travel to Detroit on Thanksgiving.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell didn't catch a pass in Week 10.

Treadwell was in the game and was targeted once on an intimidated pass, but Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs did almost all the damage for Vikings receivers against the Redskins. Treadwell is just a dynasty league option right now.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell catches one pass in Week 8.

The second-year receiver had a 21-yard reception to set up a field goal at the end of the first half, and he was also targeted on a deep ball while covered tightly, but it was overthrown. Treadwell isn’t a fantasy option yet, but he’s showing positive signs.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell catches three passes against the Ravens.

Treadwell was targeted four times in the Week 7 win, gaining 28 yards on his three receptions. He was also given a chance on a deep ball, but it was intercepted after what looked like it could have been a pass interference call against the Ravens. Regardless, Treadwell is looking a lot more comfortable in his second season in the NFL, and he'll look to continue being a reliable target for the Vikings.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell caught three passes for 51 yards in Sunday's win.

Treadwell saw a bigger role with Stefon Diggs (groin) inactive, and he made the most of it, with the highlight being a sensational one-handed grab along the sideline. The 2016 first-round pick should have a confidence boost after the best game of his young career, and his dynasty stock is pointing up. Treadwell can probably remain on the waiver wire in redraft leagues, but he might be worth a speculative add in deeper formats as a potential breakout lottery ticket.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell gets one target in Week 3.

The second-year receiver caught the target for two yards. Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen are receiving most of the targets for Vikings receivers, so Treadwell is off the re-draft fantasy radar right now.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell catches three passes for 33 yards in Week 2.

Treadwell was targeted six times by Vikings backup quarterback Case Keenum. He's third for targets among Vikings wide receivers, so Treadwell isn't a good fantasy option yet.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell catches pass in Week 1.

The second-year receiver had a seven-yard reception on a curl route late in the game, and it matches the 2016 first-rounders catch total from his rookie year. Treadwell isn't a reliable weekly option right now, but he's a strong hold in dynasty leagues as a "diamond in the rough," as Jon Gruden called him on the Monday Night Football broadcast.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Treadwell suits up for Vikings' final preseason game.

He caught one pass for nine yards. Minnesota rested all their starters in this one, suggesting Michael Floyd may be the third receiver behind Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen, despite being suspended to start the season. Treadwell has a chance to keep him out of the lineup if he starts the year strong, though, and we think he has the ability to do that. It's notable that Minnesota has perhaps the softest schedule in the league for wide receivers.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell makes 2017 preseason debut.

The second-year receiver missed the Vikings' first two preseason games while dealing with a leg injury, but he was back out there against the 49ers. Treadwell started the game with Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen, and he caught three-of-three targets for 36 yards. It's possible he plays in the team's fourth preseason game on Thursday, but he'll probably be held out. The 2016 first-round is not getting drafted in fantasy leagues, but he could become a great waiver wire pickup this season.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell said he worked on the technical aspect of his game this offseason.

The Vikings receiver said he always had a lot of talent that allowed him to win, but that everyone in the NFL is talented like him. Treadwell said "I learned over the offseason and spent a lot of time learning how to be a true receiver instead of just relying on God-given talent and ability," while noting that he watched how teammates Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen play "technically sound" made him realize he needs to do that too. Last year's 2016 first-round pick of the Vikings said back in the offseason that the game was moving a lot slower for him now, and by all accounts he's been performing at a high level this year. Treadwell has some breakout potential in 2017.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell is expected to practice today.

Tom Pelissero of NFL Network says Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer told him the second-year receiver plans to practice today. Treadwell has missed a couple of weeks of practice with a leg injury; but, by all accounts, he was having a great training camp before he was injured. Look for the 2016 first-round pick to work his way back as one of the top three receivers on the Vikings. It'd be great if he could play in the team's second preseason game on Friday night against the Seahawks.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell did not play in the Vikings' first preseason game.

Treadwell is dealing with a thigh injury and has been out of practice for over a week, according to the Pioneer Press. Hopefully Treadwell can get healthy and be back on the field soon, as he's expected to be one of Minnesota's top three receivers this year.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Sam Bradford says he thinks Laquon Treadwell has "come a long way" from last year.

Treadwell has worked with the first-team throughout all of training camp and looks locked in as the number three receiver behind Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen. His quarterback Bradford talked about Treadwell's strong hands, physicality, and ability to go up and get the ball as a big target and said, "it's nice to have a guy like that to put in the back side and know you can throw it into some tight windows, and know he can come down with it." Treadwell is looking to become a reliable target for Bradford, who has the ability to put the ball right on his receivers with great accuracy. The 2016 first-rounder is currently going undrafted in fantasy drafts.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

The StarTribune's Matt Vensel thinks Laquan Treadwell "looks ready to take on a larger role."

Vensel says that Treadwell looks "quicker" this offseason and has "exclusively" worked as a starter in three-receiver sets with Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen. Treadwell has received a lot of praise this offseason for being a hard worker. Now healthier entering his second season, he is likely to be a key contributor to the team and could deliver solid fantasy value. He'll probably be worth a shot late in fantasy drafts.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell is a lot more comfortable heading into his second season.

Treadwell notably said he's helping some of the younger guys and admits: "I actually know what I'm talking about." Treadwell said things have "slowed down a lot" compared to last season. Vikings GM Rick Spielman already said this offseason that Treadwell is one of the hardest workers he knows. With Treadwell having a much better understanding of the offense, and things moving slower for him, he'll be able to play more free in his second season. Treadwell might not have a huge breakout yet, but he should be a key member of the Vikings' passing attack.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Laquon Treadwell is working with the first team offense in three wide receiver sets during Vikings' OTAs.

Treadwell was a first round pick last year, but only had one reception for 15 yards. Treadwell dealt with leg injuries (hamstring and ankle) last season, so hopefully he's fully healthy and ready to make an impact in his second season. The Vikings also brought in free agent receiver Michael Floyd, so they're deep at receiver. But Treadwell should have every opportunity to be a starter for the Vikings this year.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Vikings GM Rick Spielman says Laquon Treadwell is "maybe the hardest-working kid" he's ever seen.

Treadwell didn't get much playing time as a rookie after being selected 23rd overall in the 2016 NFL Draft. Spielman said Treadwell had some durability issues through OTAs and training camp and they were "never able to get him on track." The Vikings still believe in Treadwell, as they should; it was one season. Treadwell has a chance to breakout in his second season.

Treadwell doesn't catch a pass in Week 13 loss.

The 2016 first round pick was targeted once on a deep ball that he couldn't haul in, and again in the red zone on a back-shoulder pass where he clearly ran a bad route. It doesn't look like the rookie will make an impact this season. He should only be owned in dynasty leagues.

Laquon Treadwell | Jaguars WR

Treadwell doesn't do much in Week 12.

He drew a penalty on a pass interference on the Vikings' first drive. He wasn't seen much after that. The Vikings can't protect enough to give Sam Bradford time to get the ball to players like Treadwell on intermediate-deep routes. Treadwell is not a fantasy option this year.
