WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Luke Falk | Free Agent QB

The Jets waived Luke Falk.

Falk started every game during Sam Darnold's absence because of mono, but the Jets are now going with David Fales as Darnold's backup quarterback. Falk could land back on the Jets practice squad soon.

Luke Falk | Free Agent QB

The Jets officially promoted Luke Falk from the practice squad.

Falk is backing up Trevor Siemian while Sam Darnold is out with mono. The 2018 sixth-round pick would not be a highly recommended fantasy option if forced into action.

Luke Falk | Free Agent QB

The Dolphins claimed quarterback Luke Falk.

The sixth-round rookie selected by the Titans did not clear waivers to get to Tennessee's practice squad. Instead, he'll join the Dolphins where he might be able to eventually compete for the backup quarterback role as a rookie.

The Titans waived Luke Falk.

The sixth-round rookie quarterback is a good bet for the practice squad if no other team claims him on waivers.

Luke Falk | Free Agent QB

The Titans have selected Washington State quarterback Luke Falk with the 199th pick (sixth round) of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Falk was potentially a Day 2 pick in a tier with Kyle Lauletta and Mike White, but all three signal-callers ended up going on Day 3, with Falk sliding all the way to the middle of the sixth round. It's a bit surprising, as Falk is accurate with good touch, but Mike Vrabel is able to get tremendous value for his long-term backup for Marcus Mariota. Falk's toughness was probably something Vrabel and the Titans loved about him, and he will be a good fit in the quarterback room with Mariota and Blaine Gabbert. Obviously, he isn't a fantasy option in 2018.
