WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Mack Hollins | Dolphins WR

The Dolphins re-signed Mack Hollins.

Hollins is a core special-teams contributor, and he also showed some flashes on offense when given opportunities for the Dolphins last season. The former Eagles draft pick has found a good fit in Miami.

Mack Hollins | Dolphins WR

The Dolphins have claimed Mack Hollins.

Miami has been very aggressive on the waiver wire, and they add another receiver in Philly’s former fourth-round pick. Hollins has size and speed to develop at receiver, but his biggest impact for the Dolphins may come on special teams.

Mack Hollins | Dolphins WR

The Eagles waived Mack Hollins.

A fourth-round pick in 2017, Hollins struggled to make an impact in Philadelphia, struggling this season in particular. Hollins has special teams upside in addition to his ability to contribute as a situational deep threat on offense.

Mack Hollins | Dolphins WR

The Eagles placed Mack Hollins (groin) on injured reserve.

This is a surprise, and it's a pretty big blow to the Eagles before the start of the regular season. Hollins had been dealing with a groin injury throughout the summer and was already ruled out for tonight's season opener, but the team went ahead and placed him on injured reserve. There's a chance Hollins is brought back as one of the team's designated-to-return players after eight weeks. He's an excellent contributor on special teams and could chip-in on offense, but he was off the fantasy radar.

Mack Hollins | Dolphins WR

Mack Hollins (groin) will not play in Week 1.

The second-year receiver hasn't practiced in a while, so this was fully expected. The Eagles don't have any big targets (in terms of height) to open the season. Hollins might not be ready for Week 2, either.

Mack Hollins | Dolphins WR

Mack Hollins (groin) did not participate in practice today.

Hollins had been nursing the injury through the preseason, and this doesn't bode well for his Week 1 status. It's a shame, as the second-year wideout would have a prime opportunity to make an impact with Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) also sidelined. Right now, Hollins is just a name to keep in mind playing on an explosive offense.

Mack Hollins | Dolphins WR

Mack Hollins held without a reception in NFC Championship Game win.

Per usual, Hollins operated as the team's fourth receiver. He will look to make an impact on special teams or with a big play in Super Bowl LII against the Patriots, which should be a classic.

Mack Hollins | Dolphins WR

Mack Hollins catches one pass in playoff victory.

Hollins gained nine yards on his lone reception and also drew a pass interference call on a comeback route. The rookie receiver will continue to contribute on special teams and chip in on offense in the NFC Championship game next weekend.

Mack Hollins | Dolphins WR

Mack Hollins gets five targets against Dallas.

Hollins caught three passes for 25 yards in the regular season finale. His regular season ends with 16 receptions for 226 yards and one touchdown, and he'll mix in on offense while contributing on special teams in the postseason.

Mack Hollins | Dolphins WR

Mack Hollins drops a pass in Week 14.

The rookie receiver had a perfect throw for a would-be touchdown of about 20 yards in his hands, but he dropped it. Mistakes happen, and Hollins should be fine moving forward. But he's not a fantasy option right now.

Mack Hollins | Dolphins WR

Mack Hollins catches 10-yard pass in Week 13 loss.

It was his only reception of the game as Philly fell to Seattle 24-10. Hollins should probably play ahead of Torrey Smith for the Eagles, but that probably won't change down the stretch. The rookie belongs on the waiver wire for the fantasy playoffs.

Mack Hollins | Dolphins WR

Mack Hollins catches both targets against the Bears.

Hollins gained 12 yards on his two receptions. The rookie receiver's role simply isn't big enough to be a recommended fantasy option yet.

Mack Hollins | Dolphins WR

Mack Hollins catches one pass in Week 11.

Hollins was targeted once on an out route that he caught for seven yards. The rookie's role isn't big enough to be a reliable fantasy option right now.

Mack Hollins | Dolphins WR

Mack Hollins gets one target in Week 9.

The rookie receiver caught the target, gaining eight yards against the Broncos. He's more of a dynasty league option for now.

Mack Hollins | Dolphins WR

Mack Hollins makes a couple plays in Week 8 win.

Hollins caught two passes for 30 yards, with the highlight being a 24-yard reception on a nice route over the middle. The rookie receiver is probably a better player than Torrey Smith, but the wideout group rotates enough that it might not lead to fantasy value. Keep Hollins on the waiver wire with a matchup against Denver next Sunday.

Mack Hollins | Dolphins WR

Mack Hollins scores first career touchdown in Week 7.

The rookie from North Carolina got deep on a 64-yard bomb from Carson Wentz in the second quarter of the Eagles' Monday night win. The ball was put down and scooped up by a fan, but Hollins went over to get it back from the fan that was nice enough to return it—the touchdown was Hollins' first as a pro, after all. He is a very good dynasty league hold, but Hollins doesn't have reliable fantasy value in standard leagues yet.

Mack Hollins | Dolphins WR

Mack Hollins grabs two passes in Eagles' win.

The big rookie receiver out of North Carolina gained 38 yards on his two receptions, with his catches going for 18 and 20 yards. Both catches were in deep in-breaking routes over the middle, and it looks like he's earning more playing time over Torrey Smith. The veteran Smith has been ineffective, so don't be surprised if Hollins' playing time continues to increase moving forward.

Mack Hollins | Dolphins WR

Mack Hollins catches all three targets in Week 2.

The rookie had his first-career reception in the game, and he had 32 yards total in the game. Hollins' role isn't big enough to be a fantasy asset yet, but he's an intriguing player that is a good target in dynasty leagues.

Mack Hollins | Dolphins WR

Mack Hollins plays well in third preseason game.

The fourth-round rookie from North Carolina had five receptions for 44 yards in the exhibition against the Dolphins. He didn't do anything too flashy, but his athleticism is clear. Hollins will be a core special teams player for the Eagles in 2017, and he could contribute some on offense too.

Mack Hollins | Dolphins WR

Mack Hollins scores in his first preseason game.

The rookie from North Carolina had four receptions for 64 yards and a touchdown. The touchdown came from Carson Wentz with the first-team offense on the Eagles' opening drive. He caught a pass over the middle, ran to and up the sideline, and stiff-armed a couple of defenders on his way to the end zone. Hollins basically has a roster spot locked up as a core special teamer, but he's also an intriguing prospect in dynasty leagues at 6'4" with very good speed.

Mack Hollins | Dolphins WR

The Eagles select North Carolina receiver Mack Hollins with the 118th pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Hollins has great size at 6'4", 221 pounds, along with 4.53 speed. Hollins averaged 20.6 yards per catch and scored 20 touchdowns throughout his career with UNC, but he never topped 750 receiving yards in a season and never was a full-time player for the Tarheels. As a rookie, Hollins should contribute right away on special teams, and the Eagles will hope he develops into a reliable receiver.
