WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Malachi Dupre | Chargers WR

The Chargers signed Malachi Dupre.

Last season, Dupre spent time with the Texans, Seahawks, and Cardinals after spending his rookie year with the Packers and Bills. The 2017 seventh-round pick will now look to win a role with the Chargers, but the practice squad might also be a good spot for the 23-year-old as he looks to develop into a contributor on an NFL roster.

The Bills promoted Malachi Dupre to the active roster.

Dupre is a talented rookie from LSU that's being promoted as a corresponding move with Andre Holmes being placed on injured reserve with a neck injury. Dupre will look to carve out a role quickly with the Bills, but he's not a viable fantasy option at the moment.

Malachi Dupre leaves first preseason game on stretcher.

Unfortunately, Dupre took a huge hit and was near-motionless for a few seconds before being carted off the field. Thankfully, Dupre appeared to be OK once they got him on the stretcher as he gave thumbs up to the crowd, and he tweeted that he's fine and thanked people for their support. Dupre had two receptions for 16 yards before the injury.

The Packers select LSU receiver Malachi Dupre with the 247th pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Dupre never topped 700 receiving yards or six touchdowns in his three seasons at LSU, partly because of quarterback play. However, Dupre has a good talent and size, including a 39.5 inch vertical jump. He may end up being a better pro player than he was in college. The Packers are a great landing spot for receivers, so he'll try to make an impact in training camp.
