Marquise Goodwin (foot) is out for the rest of today.
Goodwin had returned from his foot issue in the second half after he was called questionable ahead of halftime, but he’s now out for the rest of the Week 12 Thanksgiving matchup against the Lions.
The Bears signed Marquise Goodwin.
Goodwin will be a deep threat in Matt Nagy's offense, and the track-speed receiver should be fresh after sitting out last season as a COVID opt-out. Goodwin could have a pretty big role as a field-stretcher, but it might be difficult to rely on the veteran as a strong fantasy contributor in 2021.
Marquise Goodwin is opting out of the 2020 season, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The Eagles acquired Goodwin from the 49ers during this year's draft, but the track-speed receiver will not suit up for the team this season. Goodwin and his wife have a five-month-old daughter at home, and the couple has openly talked about their struggles through three miscarriages. Goodwin is doing what's best for his family. His contract will toll over to next season, when he'll be 30 years old.
Multiple reports: The Eagles are trading for Marquise Goodwin.
Philadelphia adds more speed to its receiving corps, as they just drafted TCU speedster Jalen Reagor with their first-round selection on Thursday night. Godwin has track-star speed, but the 49ers had him on the trade block heading into the draft. Injuries are a concern for Godwin, but he'll certainly add even more speed to the Eagles offense when he's on the field this season. The Eagles now rival the Chiefs for the NFL's fastest receiving corps.
The 49ers have placed Marquise Goodwin on injured reserve, according to ESPN's Field Yates.
Goodwin is dealing with a knee injury that kept him out of the lineup last week, and it is apparently significant enough that he won't be able to suit up again in 2019 for the playoff-bound 49ers. The veteran deep threat had caught just one passes since Week 6, and his season finishes with 12 receptions, 186 yards, and one touchdown in nine games. Goodwin is under contract for two more years, but he won't be a recommended fantasy selection in 2020.
Marquise Goodwin is inactive for Week 9.
Goodwin is back with the 49ers after dealing with a personal matter last week, so he's apparently a healthy scratch. The track-speed receiver does not need to be owned in redraft leagues.
Marquise Goodwin (personal) is officially inactive for Week 8.
Goodwin missed practice at the end of the week with a personal issue, and hopefully everything is OK with the speedy receiver.
Marquise Goodwin (calf) has been ruled out for Week 17.
Goodwin's injury-plagued season ends with 23 receptions for 395 yards and four touchdowns in 11 games. The explosive track-speed receiver made some big plays throughout the year, but his fantasy value took a big hit when quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 3, as the two showed an excellent connection last year. Goodwin signed a nice extension that keeps him with the Niners for three more seasons, and he should remain a key part of Kyle Shanahan's offense moving forward. He'll have some upside with Jimmy G back at quarterback in 2019, but Dante Pettis (or another receiver the Niners might acquire in the offseason) might emerge as the No. 1 threat at wide receiver along with elite tight end George Kittle.
Marquise Goodwin catches three passes in Week 16.
Goodwin gained 29 yards on his three reception versus Chicago. A pass intended for him was intercepted after it went off his hands when he might not have been quite ready for it, and Nick Mullens was visibly upset with his speedy receiver. Goodwin is difficult to trust in Week 17 fantasy lineups against the Rams.
Marquise Goodwin catches seven-yard pass in win over the Seahawks.
It was his only reception of the game. Goodwin isn't worth rostering with Dante Pettis emerging as San Francisco's No. 1 receiver.
Marquise Goodwin (calf) is officially active against the Seahawks.
Goodwin was on the injury report with a calf injury that limited him in practice, but he’s in the lineup for Week 15. You’re looking for a big play if you insert Goodwin into fantasy lineups for the second week of the playoffs.
Marquise Goodwin catches two passes in Week 14.
Goodwin gained 20 yards on his two receptions against the Broncos. It was good to see the track-speed receiver back on the field after missing the last two games with a personal matter, and hopefully everything is OK with him and his family. He's not a highly-recommended fantasy play as a boom/bust option.
Marquise Goodwin is officially inactive against the Buccaneers.
Goodwin is said to be dealing with a personal matter, so we wish him and his family the best and hope everything is OK.
Marquise Goodwin has been downgraded to doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers.
Goodwin is apparently dealing with a personal matter, so hopefully everything is OK for the speedy receiver and his family. San Francisco will likely rely on a larger role out of Dante Pettis this week, and he’s worth considering in deeper leagues for a good matchup.
Marquise Goodwin catches four passes in Week 10.
Goodwin gained 69 yards on his four receptions against the Giants, finishing behind tight end George Kittle for second-highest receiving total on the team. Goodwin left the game a couple of times after hits to the head, but thankfully he returned to the game both times and appears to be fine. The lighting-fast receiver has a bye then returns for a nice matchup in Week 12 against the Bucs, but he doesn't need to be owned in fantasy leagues right now.
Marquise Goodwin catches one pass against the Raiders.
Goodwin gained 11 yards on his lone reception in the Niners' Week 9 win. He also added one carry for two yards. The former track star simply wasn't on the receiving end of any of the big plays against busts in coverage by the Raiders, and he'll look to have a bigger game against the Giants in Week 10.
Marquise Goodwin scores long touchdown in Week 8.
Goodwin caught an in-breaking route and used his world-class speed to go 55 yards to the house for a score. It was Goodwin's lone reception of the day, but he made it count. Goodwin will look to make another gamebreaking play and more this Thursday night in a Bay Area battle against Oakland.
Marquise Goodwin catches two passes in Week 7.
Goodwin gained 24 yards on his two receptions against the Rams. The former track star appeared to suffer another leg injury in the game, but he returned and appears to be fine. Goodwin next faces a Cardinals team that's had major busts in coverage this season, so he has some big-play upside as a FLEX option—albeit with a low floor.
Marquise Goodwin scores two long touchdowns in Week 6.
Goodwin was a fantastic target down the field for C.J. Beathard against the Packers, catching four-of-five targets for 126 yards and two touchdowns along with one carry for five yards. The first touchdown was on a deep ball down the middle of the field for 67 yards, and the second was a 30-yarder on a smooth post-corner route. After the second touchdown, the former Olympian had a great long jump celebration in the end zone. It was good to see a healthy Goodwin have this type of connection with Beathard in the game, and it leads to optimism for his fantasy value moving forward. We'll see if he can keep it going in Week 7 against the Rams.
Marquise Goodwin (hamstring, quadricep) is "full-go" at Niners practice today.
Barring any setbacks, expect Goodwin to be ready to go for Monday night against the Packers. We'll update you if anything changes in the speedy receiver's status in the next couple of days. Goodwin isn't as appealing of a fantasy option with Jimmy Garoppolo out of the lineup for the season, so he's not a highly-recommended FLEX option for Week 6.
Marquise Goodwin (hamstring, quadricep) is inactive for Week 5.
Goodwin has dealt with leg injuries throughout the start of the season, and he’s not ready for today’s matchup with the Cardinals. Rookie Dante Pettis is also out, so Pierre Garcon could be in line for a good number of targets for Week 5.
Marquise Goodwin (hamstring, quadricep) is listed as questionable against the Cardinals.
Goodwin is expected to be a true game-time decision, so be sure to have a backup plan if you have him in your lineup in deeper leagues. Goodwin is not a highly-recommended fantasy option at less than 100% even if he is active, though.
Marquise Goodwin (hamstring, quad) was limited in today's practice.
Goodwin was a non-participant in yesterday's practice, so this is a good step in the right direction. He's likely headed for a questionable designation tomorrow when the official injury report for the game is released.
Marquise Goodwin (hamstring, quad) did not practice today.
Goodwin is dealing with some soft tissue issues, and he might not be ready for this week against the Cardinals. Hopefully the speedy receiver can get up to a limited practice tomorrow.
Marquise Goodwin gets three touches against the Chargers.
Goodwin caught two passes (on four targets) for 24 yards and added one carry for four yards in the Week 4 loss. He left briefly with an injury, but it didn't appear to be anything serious. Goodwin doesn't need to be on fantasy rosters with Jimmy Garoppolo, who he had a great connection with, out for the year.
Marquise Goodwin (quad) was limited in today’s practice.
Goodwin played in last Sunday’s loss to the Chiefs, so we expect he’ll be fine for this week against the Chargers. He might be limited throughout the week, but that shouldn’t be much of an issue.
Marquise Goodwin scores in Week 3.
In Goodwin's return after missing one game because of a quad bruise, he immediately stepped back into the offense in a large role. Goodwin didn't show any affects from the quad injury, catching three passes (on four targets) for 30 yards and a touchdown. He also had one carry for -2 yards. The score was on a drag route where Goodwin navigated the traffic and got wide open for walk-in score. Goodwin's outlook takes a hit with Jimmy Garoppolo's knee injury, as the two have shown such a great connection dating back to last season.
Marquise Goodwin (quad) is active for Week 3.
After missing one game, Goodwin is back in the lineup for the Niners in what could be a shootout in Kansas City. The Chiefs can be beaten deep, but Goodwin has a low floor in his return to the lineup. Consider him a weaker FLEX option for Week 3, but he offers obvious upside in lineups.
Marquise Goodwin (quadricep) is officially questionable for Week 3.
Goodwin was able to practice on a limited basis all week, which indicates he has a decent chance of playing on Sunday. The Niners play at Kansas City in an early game, so Goodwin's status will be known by 11:30 AM ET on Sunday. San Francisco could certainly use him in what could be a shootout with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.
Marquise Goodwin (quad) remains limited in practice.
Goodwin is dealing with a bad quad bruise, and we'd think he'd be able to give it a go this weekend against the Chiefs. However, he was ruled out for Week 2 above the weekend, so we'll see if the same happens tomorrow.
Marquise Goodwin (quad) will be limited in practice today.
Goodwin didn't practice all week last week, so this is a step in the right direction to get a limited practice in to start this week. Consider Goodwin questionable to face the Chiefs for now.
Marquise Goodwin (quad) is out for Week 2.
The Niners declared Goodwin day-to-day earlier this week, so it's a surprise that he's been declared out ahead of the weekend. He's just been unable to get that leg feeling right heading into the weekend, so rookie Dante Pettis will draw the start opposite Pierre Garcon. Pettis might be worth a look in lineups this week, particularly in deeper leagues.
Marquise Goodwin (quad) is day-to-day.
This is a great sign after Goodwin was forced out of yesterday's game after taking a hit to the leg while running a drag route. Goodwin should be ready to go for this Sunday against the Lions, but we'll keep an eye on his status on the practice report throughout the week.
Marquise Goodwin (quad) did not return against the Vikings.
Goodwin was officially listed as questionable to return, but he wasn't able to come back into the Week 1 loss. This is probably nothing more than a bruise, though, so consider Goodwin questionable for Week 2 for now.
Marquise Goodwin's injury is a quad injury.
It appeared it might have been a knee based on his reaction, but it's good news that this is a quad injury for Goodwin. It's probably just a bruise, which should allow him to return to today's game, but he's officially listed as questionable to return.
Marquise Goodwin leaves game with apparent right knee injury.
Goodwin's knee collided with a defending as he was running a drag route, and he immediately went down and stayed down for a few minutes before hobbling to the sideline. Hopefully it's just a bruise, but there's a chance it's something more serious. We'll update you as more information becomes available.
Marquise Goodwin could be San Francisco's clear number one receiver.
ESPN's Dan Graziano visited 49ers training camp, and he says the teams views Goodwin "as their clear No. 1 wide receiver." Goodwin played like a number one receiver when Jimmy Garoppolo took over for the Niners last season, and he was on pace for over 1,200 yards over the final eight games of the season. Also, Goodwin has reportedly had an excellent training camp, and Joe Fann of the team's official site previously said the speedster "looks like a bona fide No. 1 WR." Goodwin is one of the best values in 2018 fantasy drafts, though his ADP could skyrocket in the coming weeks.
Marquise Goodwin has had an outstanding training camp, according to Joe Fann of 49ers.com.
Fann tweeted: “I'm amazed by the development of Marquise Goodwin over the past year. His route running & hands are vastly improved. He's far more than raw athleticism. He looks like a bona fide No. 1 WR, and he's carrying himself as such.” Goodwin played like a number one receiver at the end of last season, with a pace of over 1,200 yards over the final eight games of the year. The connection with quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo has seemingly carried over to 2018, and Goodwin might remain his top target despite the return of Pierre Garcon, who didn’t play with Garoppolo because of a season-ending neck injury. Goodwin is looking like the better value of the 49ers receivers.
The 49ers have signed WR Marquise Goodwin to a three-year contract extension.
After Goodwin stepped up in a big way for the Niners over the final two months of the season after Pierre Garcon went on injured reserve with a neck injury, the team is rewarding him with that is reportedly a three-year extension worth $20.3 million and $10 million guaranteed. The former track star clearly showed he's not just a guy with speed, as he had 613 receiving yards over the final eight games of the season (76.6 yards per game) with Garcon out. Now the Niners have two reliable receivers for Jimmy Garoppolo to throw to locked up for the next four seasons. If the team doesn't add big-time receivers in free agency or early in the draft, Goodwin could deliver solid FLEX value this season on an offense that's rising.
Marquise Goodwin gets carted off against the Rams.
Goodwin just took a huge hit to the head in the second quarter against the Rams. He was down on the ground for a few minutes, but he thankfully got up to his feet before getting carted off the the locker room. However, this doesn't look good, and Goodwin's day is almost certainly done. Before leaving, Goodwin had two receptions for 28 yards and a touchdown, bringing his season total to 56 receptions for 962 yards and two touchdowns. Clearly, it was a very solid first season in San Francisco for Goodwin, who showed he can be a legitimate full-time player on the outside. We'll see if the Niners make any big additions to the receiving corps this offseason, but as of now Goodwin might be a usable FLEX option some weeks in 2018.
Marquise Goodwin gets six targets in Week 16.
Goodwin's six targets were a team high, but he couldn't get a ton going against the great cornerbacks for the Jaguars, catching three passes for 37 yards. Goodwin should find some more room to operate next week against the Rams, and he'll be in FLEX consideration.
Marquise Goodwin stays hot in win over the Titans.
Goodwin caught 10 passes for 114 yards, also adding a 10-yard rush. The speedster has certainly proven he isn't a one-trick pony with at least 68 yards in six-straight games and 31 receptions over than span, including Sunday's career-high. Goodwin has a difficult draw with Jacksonville next week, but it's difficult to bench a guy that's averaging eight receptions for more than 106 yards per game since Jimmy Garoppolo took over as the starting quarterback for San Francisco.
Marquise Goodwin goes over 100 yards in Niners' win.
Goodwin continues to play well as the number one receiver for San Francisco, as he caught six of 12 targets for 106 yards versus the Texans. The speedy receiver had a long of 32 yards in the game, and it was his second 100-yard game of the season. Since Pierre Garcon went down with a season-ending neck injury, Goodwin is now averaging 4.2 receptions, for 86.6 yards per game (with one touchdown in the five-game span). He's a number one receiver right now, which is leading to very good fantasy value. Though a matchup with athletic rookie cornerback Adoree' Jackson and the Titans next week could present some issues for Goodwin.
Marquise Goodwin nears 100 yards in Week 13.
Goodwin continues to look play like a number one receiver for the 49ers after the injury to Pierre Garcon, and he had a great connection with Jimmy Garoppolo in Garoppolo's first start with the team. They connected on all eight targets, as Goodwin gained 99 yards versus the Bears. Since Garcon's season-ending neck injury, Goodwin is averaging 82 receiving yards per game, which would put him on pace for over 1,300 on the season. If he's still available in your league, he's certainly worth a look as a pickup. His matchup next week against the Texans is a good one, as Houston has struggled with some speedy receivers this season.
Marquise Goodwin leads the Niners in Week 12 receiving.
Goodwin was targeted four times against Seattle, catching four passes for 78 yards. The track star continues to show he can produce as a receiver, and he's averaging 9.3 fantasy points per game in the three games without Pierre Garcon (neck, IR). Next week against the Bears isn't an easy matchup, though.
Marquise Goodwin catches emotional 83-yard touchdown in first win of the season.
Goodwin lost his son just hours before the game due to a premature birth, but he played anyway and was a key part of San Francisco's victory. The speedster also rushed once for 18 yards in the game, and sprung Garrett Celek with a big block on his 47-yard touchdown.
Marquise Goodwin catches 55-yard pass in loss to the Cardinals.
Goodwin finished with two receptions for 68 yards. Pierre Garcon (neck) being done for the year could give Goodwin a chance to put up some numbers down the stretch, especially if Jimmy Garoppolo eventually makes starts. Still, the speedster is probably better left on the waiver wire outside of deeper leagues.
Marquise Goodwin (back) is active.
Goodwin dealt with a back issue during the week, but he was expected to be ready today against the Eagles. Philadelphia is a beatable secondary, so Goodwin has some boom potential this week in a game the Niners are expected to be playing from behind in.
Marquise Goodwin leads 49ers in receiving yards on Sunday.
Godoiwn caught four passes for 80 yards, including a long of 48 yards. C.J. Beathard seemed to have trust in the speedster, as he was able to come down with a contested catch over the middle for one of his receptions. Still, Pierre Garcon is the only receiver worth starting on San Francisco's offense. Maybe Goodwin can get deep against Philly's slow corners next Sunday.
Marquise Goodwin gets three touches in Week 6.
He had two receptions for 26 yards and a six-yard carry. The deep threat will have some big weeks but is difficult to trust in fantasy lineups most of the time.
Marquise Goodwin leads the 49ers in receiving against the Colts.
Goodwin caught five of 11 targets for 116 yards, with a long of 51 yards, in the Week 5 loss. The long reception was on a fly route where Goodwin used his remarkable speed to get behind the defense. In a matchup with a vulnerable Colts secondary, Goodwin obviously one of the better boom/bust options of the week, and those that played him must be happy with the stat line. Goodwin might be able to get deep again next week against the Redskins.
Marquise Goodwin (concussion) is active.
Goodwin cleared concussion protocol and he's ready to go against the Colts. The track-speed receiver is a boom/bust play that's a popular play in daily leagues this week.
Marquise Goodwin (concussion) is questionable for Week 5.
The speedy receiver needs to get cleared of his concussion to play against Indy.
Marquise Goodwin (concussion) remained limited in practice.
Though it's a good sign he's out there for some parts of practice, Goodwin needs to clear concussion protocol so he can play on Sunday. Hopefully he's able to in the next couple of days.
Marquise Goodwin (concussion) is limited in practice.
Goodwin needs to clear concussion protocol to play on Sunday, but he's expected to be able to. A limited practice today indicates he's close to getting cleared.
Marquise Goodwin held to one catch in Week 4 loss.
It went for 18 yards. Goodwin had a chance to get deep with Patrick Peterson occupied by Pierre Garcon, but it didn't happen on Sunday. He should catch a long ball soon, but the speedster can stay on the waiver wire heading into Week 5.
Marquise Goodwin (concussion) is out against the Cardinals.
Goodwin had an 18-yard reception on his only catch of the day before leaving. Goodwin will have until next Sunday to clear the concussion protocol and face the Colts.
Marquise Goodwin catches deep ball in Week 3.
Goodwin caught two of five targets for 62 yards in a loss to the Rams. He made a very nice jump ball catch on a 50-yarder from Brian Hoyer on a pass that looked like it was going to be intercepted with two defenders near Goodwin. The dynamic receiver is more of a real life contributor than fantasy contributor right now, but he will look to have a big game in Week 4 against the Cardinals.
Marquise Goodwin gets six targets in Week 2.
Goodwin had the same stats as teammate Pierre Garcon against the Seahawks: three receptions for 26 yards. He did also have a drop where he got open on Richard Sherman for a potential first done (or maybe even touchdown, with his speed). It's the second straight week with a key drop for Goodwin, but he is locked in as San Fran's number two receiver.
Marquise Goodwin gets six targets in Week 1.
The super fast receiver had three receptions for 21 yards in the game. Goodwin did have a drop on the first drive of the game, but there could've been some first-game jitters there. He'll have some good weeks as the number two receiver with the Niners.
Marquise Goodwin catches long touchdown in Week 3 of the preseason.
On the 49ers' first drive of the game, Goodwin ran through a zone defense and caught a 46-yard bomb from Brian Hoyer. It was Goodwin's only catch of the day, but he could be doing a lot of that this season. As a number two receiver with huge big play ability and speed, Goodwin could do a lot better than expected this season (he's currently outside of the top 300 players being drafted in fantasy leagues).
Marquise Goodwin leads team in receiving on Saturday night.
Goodwin caught three passes for 44 yards. The speedster got some hype in the offseason, and he could establish himself as a decent boom-or-bust fantasy option on a San Francisco team that is expected to be trailing a lot in 2017.
Marquise Goodwin catches one pass for 14 yards in Niners preseason debut.
The free agent acquisition started the game and also played a short amount with Matt Barkley at quarterback. Goodwin will start opposite Pierre Garçon this season, and he has some sleeper fantasy value. He plays Denver next week in the 49ers' second preseason game.
Marquise Goodwin is making an early impression for the 49ers.
The free agent acquisition impressed in the offseason by all accounts, including teammate Jeremy Kelsey calling Goodwin an "all-around receiver." Goodwin is showing he can run all routes instead of just go-routes, which head coach Kyle Shanahan says doesn't allow corners to get a "15-yard head start" on defending him on deep routes. Cornerback Rashard Robinson, who is also very fast himself, said running with Goodwin is "like a track meet almost." Pierre Garcon is going to be the number one, but Goodwin is looking like a lock for the number two receiver for the Niners. Goodwin is not even on the draft radar, with an ADP of outside the top 250, but don't be surprised if he delivers fantasy value in 2017.
49ers receiver Jeremy Kerley is very impressed with teammate Marquise Goodwin.
Kerley was on "NFL Total Access" and thinks Goodwin will have a breakout season, saying: "He's got a lot of passion in the game and he puts in a lot of work at it. So he's definitely a guy that I think everyone could look forward to and he'll have a takeoff season." Kerley also said people only see Goodwin as a deep threat because of his speed; but from what he's seen through the offseason, Kerley believes Goodwin is "an all-around receiver and he knows what he's doing" Goodwin played for seasons with the Bills and had 49 receptions, but the track speed receiver is expected to have a bigger role in Kyle Shanahan's offense with the Niners. Goodwin should easily have the best season of his career in 2017 if he stays healthy.
As expected, the 49ers have signed receiver Marquise Goodwin.
The track star Goodwin will add a lot of speed to the 49ers offense. He'll help stretch the field to open things up in the middle for Pierre Garçon and Vance McDonald.
The 49ers are signing Marquise Goodwin, according to Ian Rapoport.
Rapoport deserves credit for being on top of the 49ers today, so it's probably safe to take his word on this. Goodwin adds a ton of speed to the 49ers offense, and he may be a regular in Kyle Shanahan's offense along with Pierre Garçon and Jeremy Kerley.
Marquise Goodwin is on the Redskins "radar," according to The Washington Post.
The Washington post is also reporting that the Redskins are not likely to come to an agreement with DeSean Jackson, so Goodwin would bring some of the same speed that Jackson brought to the offense. With literally track star speed, Goodwin will surely receive interest from multiple teams.
Goodwin caught two passes for 13 yards in Sunday's win over the Jags.
With Sammy Watkins back, he and LeSean McCoy are the only skill-position players on the Bills worth owning. However, Goodwin is a deep league option for next week versus the Raiders beatable secondary.
Marquise Goodwin caught two passes for 15 yards as the Bills beat the Bengals 16-12 on Sunday.
Goodwin could see a lot of work next week if Robert Woods (knee) is out and Sammy Watkins (foot) can’t somehow quickly get cleared. If that’s the case, he is a good dart-throw against the Jaguars for Week 12.
