Mo Alie-Cox | Colts TE

The Colts are re-signing Mo Alie-Cox to a three-year deal.

Alie-Cox will reportedly get $18 million, which could be somewhat of a hometown discount to stay with Indy. The athletic tight end will pair with second-year player Kylen Granson with Jack Doyle now retired, and Alie-Cox's touchdown and big-play upside should make him the preferred option for 2022. Depending on who plays quarterback for the Colts, Alie-Cox definitely has upside TE2 potential in his age-28/29 campaign.

The Colts gave Mo Alie-Cox a second-round tender.

This all but locks Alie-Cox in with the Colts for 2021. The former VCU basketball player continues to progress, and he’s become one of the league’s top touchdown threats among tight ends.

Mo Alie-Cox (knee) is officially active for Thursday night.

While Alie-Cox was listed as questionable entering tonight, he was expected to be active. He's an interesting option with his role potentially increased with Jack Doyle out, but there might be safer TE1 options in Week 10 fantasy lineups.

Mo Alie-Cox (knee) is officially listed as questionable for Thursday night.

Alie-Cox was projected as a full participant for today's practice, and we expect him to be fine for tomorrow night versus the Titans. Alie-Cox's status will be official an hour and a half before tomorrow's 8:20 PM ET kickoff.

The Colts ruled out Mo Alie-Cox (knee) for Week 6.

Alie-Cox did not practice all week with his knee issue, so Indy is ruling him out ahead of the weekend. The Colts will rely on Jack Doyle and Trey Burton at tight end this Sunday against the Bengals.

Mo Alie-Cox | Colts TE

The Colts removed Mo Alie-Cox from the PUP list.

Alie-Cox can now join his teammates on the field as training camp keeps ramping up toward the start of the season. The talented tight end will be a contributor in a deep position group for Indy, but he'll likely be difficult to trust in 2020 fantasy lineups.

Mo Alie-Cox | Colts TE

The Colts have signed Mo Alie-Cox to a one-year extension.

The deal will keep Alie-Cox in Indy next season, and he could return as the No. 2 tight end behind Jack Doyle if Eric Ebron isn't back. Unless the passing attack takes a significant step forward, though, big-time fantasy production is unlikely, especially because the Colts should be healthier in 2020.

Mo Alie-Cox | Colts TE

Mo Alie-Cox held without a catch in playoff loss.

Alie-Cox had an end-zone target go through his hands at the end of the first half on a jump ball, and the Colts unfortunately missed a short field goal on the next play. The former basketball player will probably remain the No. 3 tight end in Frank Reich's offense next season.

Mo Alie-Cox catches one pass in Week 17.

Alie-Cox gained 21 yards on his lone reception versus Tennessee, and he also again did an excellent job as a blocker. The former VCU basketball player's regular season ends with seven receptions for 133 yards and two touchdowns in nine games, and now he gets to play in the postseason starting this Saturday at Houston.

Mo Alie-Cox | Colts TE

Mo Alie-Cox held without a catch in Week 16 win.

He was targeted once, but Alie-Cox is suddenly on the fantasy radar in Frank Reich's offense if Eric Ebron (concussion) can't get cleared for the season finale. We'll have updates throughout the week.

Mo Alie-Cox scores against the Jaguars.

Alie-Cox caught two passes for 28 yards and a touchdown, with the score coming on a play-action pass at the goal line where he snuck out behind the linebackers and went up for his second career touchdown reception. The former VCU basketball player is making a good adjustment to the NFL, and he's an intriguing dynasty-league hold for now.

Mo Alie-Cox | Colts TE

Mo Alie-Cox makes highlight touchdown catch in Week 8 win.

Alie-Cox caught a 26-yard score on the games opening possession, as he easily extended for a one-handed grab at the goal line to put Indy on the board. The former college basketball player isn't a recommended fantasy option behind Jack Doyle and Eric Ebron, but his first touchdown is certainly one to remember.

Alie-Cox's lone Week 7 reception went for seven yards. Alie-Cox is not a fantasy option at the moment.

Mo Alie-Cox | Colts TE

The Colts signed TE Mo Alie-Cox to their practice squad.

The former VCU basketball player was previously on the team's IR list, but the two sides reached an injury settlement in August and now he's back with the team on the practice squad. Alie-Cox has high upside and is worth adding in very deep dynasty leagues.

Mo Alie-Cox | Colts TE

The former VCU basketball player now reverts to the Colts' Injured Reserve. This will be a bit of a redshirt year for Alie-Cox, who could have a bright future in the league.

The 6'6" former basketball player from VCU will go through waivers. If he goes unsigned, he will revert to the Colts' Injured Reserve. It's unclear what exact extent of Alie-Cox's injury is, but he had on a boot on his lower leg the other day, according to Kevin Bowen of the team's official site.

Multiple reports: The Colts are signing former VCU basketball player Mo Alie-Cox.

Alie-Cox received a good amount of interest when he made it known he wanted to play football, including from the Seahawks. This is a high-upside move by the Colts. Alie-Cox is over 6'6" with a huge wingspan and athleticism. Obviously through the years we've seen some basketball players turn into great football players. Alie-Cox will now try to do the same. He's really someone worth watching as a deep sleeper in 2017, despite jumping right in the NFL.
