WOLF SPORTS PROJECTION

Nick Williams | 49ers WR

The 49ers have signed Nick Williams to a one-year deal.

Linebacker Malcolm Smith was released in a corresponding move. Williams isn't expected to be a fantasy factor if he makes the 53-man roster, but he can potentially fill in for Trent Taylor as he recovers from a broken foot.

The Broncos are signing Nick Williams, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

Williams gives Denver more depth in training camp, and he'll have a shot to make the backend of the roster as a reserve receiver. Also, Williams will be a good presence for the other Broncos receivers, as he was previously in Atlanta with Denver offensive coordinator Rich Scangerello and knows his offense.

Nick Williams catches two passes in Rams debut.

Williams, who was signed by the Rams after the Cooper Kupp injury, gained 17 yards on his two receptions against the Niners. Williams dangerously stuck the ball out while seemingly attempting to signal a first down while getting tackled, but he luckily held on to the ball. Williams is not a recommended fantasy option right now.

Nick Williams | 49ers WR

The Rams are singing Nick Williams, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

Williams started the season with the Titans but was released after their Week 5 loss to the Bills. Williams knows Rams head coach Sean McVay's offense a bit, as last year's offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur is with the Titans, and McVay was an assistant coach on the Redskins when Williams was there in 2013. Williams is not a recommended fantasy pickup, but he could get some time in the slot on offense while Cooper Kupp (knee) remains out. Josh Reynolds is the preferred fantasy pickup for Rams wide receivers if you're looking to grab one.

The Titans waived Nick Williams.

Williams had a critical drop on a would-be touchdown and ran a poor route on an interception in Tennessee's one-point loss to the Bills two days ago. Unfortunately, it's led to the team going in another direction. Williams should receive interest around the league, but he's not on the fantasy radar right now.

The Titans signed Nick Williams.

Williams spent the summer with the Titans, and now he's back to fill a reserve receiver role. He should also contribute on special teams. Williams can currently be ignored for fantasy purposes.

Nick Williams | 49ers WR

Nick Williams has been waived by the Titans.

Williams received some first-team work in the preseason and caught a touchdown, but he just misses the 53-man roster. Williams should receive interest from other teams.

Nick Williams | 49ers WR

The Titans signed former Falcons wide receiver Nick Williams.

Williams is an undrafted free agent from 2013, and he spent the last three seasons in Atlanta with the Falcons. Williams had 17 receptions for 159 yards and two touchdowns in 2015, but he's had only eight receptions for 89 yards over the last two seasons as he's spent a lot of time on the practice squad. Williams will likely have to contribute on special teams to make the final roster for the Titans this season. He's not a fantasy option at the moment.

Nick Williams | 49ers WR

Nick Williams caught three passes for 30 yards in Sunday's loss to the Bills.

Williams had an offensive role on Sunday because of injuries to Julio Jones and Mohamed Sanu, and he made his first receptions of the season. He can stay on the waiver wire as the Falcons head into their Week 5 bye.
